I was supposed to catch giant stripers last night around Block Island but my friend said to hell with that, the tuna bite is on we are going 30 miles and boy were we glad we did! We were covered up in whales and porpoises the entire evening. First fish was a dusky shark, my friend was aggravated but I had a blast fighting it. Then we hooked a giant bluefin that almost spooled us even though we were following it on plane! We were never going to land that fish and theyre out of season anyway so he was glad that it finally broke off. Finally at last light we got the perfect fish, a hundred lb bluefin.
