I have missed approx. 5 days where I didn't go out for at least one sit since NH opener on Sept 15th That includes today last day of our deer season I travel anywhere from 0 miles to 25 miles to hunt 751.7 miles for the week in western NY round trip

This was the first time I have come across this fresh of an attack. I don't believe I was more then a couple minutes behind

NH deer season ends today with only an Archery buck tag left I decided to do some tracking in the snow yesterday was following the only fresh track I could find & looking like a doe I decided to follow it when I started noticing coyote tracks also very fresh following the set of deer tracks. Then another after about a mile hike there were 4-5 coyote tracks following the deer I came to a crest of a hill with a stream at the bottom. There I saw both sides of the stream bank littered with blood. When I got to the stream a head pops up & it is a doe she has what looked like a softball sized hole in her face. I thought she had been shot with a rifle (rifle season ended Dec.7th) further inspection her hide was peeled off her face she stood up very wobbly & shaking bad. I then noticed they also had gotten to her rear end a little. this poor deer was very weak & most likely in shock as for over an hour she stood ten feet from me never taking her eyes off me & never moved a step. I knew she wouldn't survive & wanted to put her out of her misery but I had already used my doe tag this year made phone calls unsuccessfully to fish & game multiple hunters my problem was my phone was dying & really was not sure of my exact location to tell someone where I was. I finally got a hold of a hunting buddy who still had a doe tag & was willing to come put her down luckily we have a map locator app on our phones & he came right to me I honestly don't think I was more then a couple minutes behind the attack & think the yotes heard me breaking through the snow. This is the first time I have ever come across something like this in the woods. It bothered me really bad to see her suffer & I wish I just arrowed her but sucks I couldn't legally. I am still thinking if I couldn't have reached someone I would have had to put her down myself & leave her to the yotes to finish I know this happens It is nature but it really proved that hunting is a hell of a lot more humane then nature she was legally tagged check in & weighed 114 dressed

we have hung deer both ways & never noticed a difference

Welcome Bible Andy wish my wife hunts but I at least I was able to get one of my two daughters to love it as much as me the other will go but could take it or leave it

CONGRATULATIONS! Any deer is a Trophy to me & getting an old wise doe can be harder then a mature buck

Had my Best season ever took a 2) doe in NH one bow & on rifle & 1) 8 point Buck in NY bow + took the Rifle doe with my longest shot to date 165 yards with the Ruger American .308 still have a NH archery buck tag but our season ends Dec 15th & not sure if I will get out much

Sorry He had 8 or so & they sold out less then 24 hours. This model has been discontinued & these were what he had left in stock so he doesn't have any more. picked mine up Friday & put it together in about 20 minutes. It is heavy but it didn't seem as load as people claim them to be. yeah so we will be hit or miss on that unless we can change dates glad I got a great deal on the Xbow

OK so the Crossbow could change by a week also was just trying to time the week to use both but have to be there starting around Halloween weekend dont think we can go out a week later Thanks guys

NY southern Zone Archery season I know it always starts Oct 1st but does it always end on the 14th? trying to plan future Hunts

Anyone know anything about these crossbows My Bow shop is having a deal on them $650 Reg price on sale for $250 we can not use them here in NH during archery season & doesn't look like they will allow them anytime soon but can use them during Firearm season The week we head to WNY is the first week of crossbow for $250 I would buy it to play around with here & poss. use in NY

when I first read this I was going to tell you to buy TUMS If I need gas I fill my truck simple as that. I always used saran wrap & a rubber band had tape get wet & come loose also no glue stuck to the barrel

take the heart & agree with wingnut first meal always heart & tenderloins. Do not eat liver will get sick just smelling it cooking \ rest of innards get used for coyote hunting
