  1. Good value for jets. Interested to see how it pans out.
  2. I almost always run into a bachelor group in turkey season. This cam will drive me nuts in summer, but it won't compare to when I am at work, see one of those bucks move past in October or November, and I can't do a thing about it, lol.
  3. Was all nice and comfy at my work desk, when the phone buzzed. This jake made an appearance. I'm not going to lie...if he shows up, there's probably a few people hunting here who may shoot him in da face. Heck I might too, with the few turkeys I have seen thus far pre-season. I cozied in again, and got another buzz. Deer.
  4. Details: Found his bed, killed him opening evening of 2012 bow season. 55 yd shot, but prepped for it all summer. Before, during, and after pics attached.
  5. I believe buffered lead...I forget if the Supremes are copper plated lead or not. These loads should be fine out of the large majority of turkey choke tubes. Again, these are cheaper loads to help you get into the sport/test them out. You may find you want to do more testing to eek out an extra 5 yards of pattern distance, etc. but these should get the ball rolling for you pretty cheap. You should be able to get them for about $10-13 for Nitro and $13-16 for the Supreme. Stepping up to mid-level loads like the Remington Premier Copper Magnums are going to add about $5 to the box.
  6. If you want a cheap, cost effective load...you'll still have to buy a few to test to see how they pattern. I'd opt for #6 if you can find it #5 if no #6s...determine whether you can shoot 2 3/4, 3, or 3.5 in that scatter gun. I'd skip #4 for now. Chances are one of the two loads below will pattern well out of your gun to a respectable range. They are not super expensive. Nitros are amongst the cheaper and Supreme is a few bucks more. The reason why I suggest these to you as being a newer hunter, is that each load is at varying ends of the spectrum on FPS. Nitros are a bit slower and Winchester are faster. Chances are...your scatter gun is going to like one over the other with the choke you have. Walmart, DKS, etc. usually carry them. Remington Nitro Winchester Supreme
  7. Both Geno and Nassib are pocket passers. Geno is more mobile and one of the multiple knocks on him is that he DOESN'T run as much as he should. Seems like he opts to dump the ball or get rid of it rather than clear running situations when the pocket collapses or an opening pops up in the line, etc. Geno is a big ?...he can show flashes but then just as many dud characteristics. Nassib is decent, but I don't think he's ever going to be a top 5 or a top 10 QB in this league as he hasn't really shown progression in his upper-level college years. He is what he is. Maybe a good career back-up.
  8. I'd rather chase turkey with a rock and a thermacell than my 12g and no thermacell.
  9. There is no might...just go buy it. Unreal how effective it is.
  10. They'll go Nassib or Geno....no way they opt for Barkley. They don't have enough Vaseline left for another USC QB.
  11. I'm lucky to make it out more than 4-5 times a season, so I try to enjoy it as much as possible. Starting your work day at 7:30 a.m. about 50 minutes from your home sucks at this time of year. Leaves me with weekends and opening morning that I burned some vacation time on.
  12. Not a very exciting draft - seems like last year was much more interesting...probably traces back to the fact this draft is seen as weak in top-flight talent and stacked with "1A" talent. Bills don't trade picks that high very often, so I think they got a deal that was worth it. Who knows how Manuel is going to pan out, though. Seems like he has the right attitude to make it. Vikings seem to have gotten some playmakers. Would like the Bills to get the Stanford TE if possible. I agree, the Jets DT pick boggled me a bit.
  13. I go there fairly often; largely for classifieds deals. I mostly post there closer to bow season and near product release times to see what new bows are out, etc.
  14. Anyone watch it? Curious to see how the BIlls do.
  15. I think it's just two people on either side of the fence and no swaying, regardless of effort, is going to pan out.
  16. You two should get married. You bicker better than me and my ex-wife did.
  17. What's context of that? GOing the route of violating that for sake of mental stability?
  18. Code Black...SIM card and get text to cell or email.

    Bolts

    Some can; some not.
  20. A few bucks a month. Being far away from your hunting ground is one of the most common reasons people get one.

    Bolts

They make discharge bags. Lots of good bolts out there. Lazer gt ll is popular.
  22. If you are obsessed, you get pics sent to your cell in April of deer....lol.
  23. I turkey hunt to relax and have fun. At some point, I almost always fall asleep on one turkey hunt each May. I feel so rested after that for some reason. I bow hunt deer for the personal challenge. I gun hunt deer for the good times with friends and family. I dropped nearly every hobby to be able to aim toward the bow hunting of deer, and I am good with that. Family/faith/career, friends, and then hunting. One thing I have always found odd is that while I certainly would enjoy shooting a monster in regular season, I have a light switch that just enjoys that time differently than when bow season.
