    I have the opposite problem... I have a hard time spotting antlers unless they are really tall and white or over 80"s or so... I kinda balked on a possible shot before I fully ID'd the doe I was stalking this am and that was under 35yds Burnt an archery bucktag on weird tiny half rack and I've also burnt a regular tag on a spike at 80 (I shoot open sights)... thought both were doe...Im much more thorough when it's only antlerless tags in my pocket I guess.

    Finally saw a squirrel... Gotta be worst soft and hard mast year ever here in my area low on apples acorns beech hickory you name it.. Gonna pee off my treestand couldn't hurt

    Drawn and held 4 times less than 100 yds from the truck I lightly bump one, the wind was nearly dead at the time Ofcourse, every time it picked up I got another 5 yards, closed it to 35 then drawn and held (and repeat 3x) she would not go in the lane so finally with another gust I tried to get to 30 but she flagged and bounced...lasted 10+minutes again...fun but frustrating...midday action. The wind picked up and covered me to the stand im gonna midday hunt/pull today... Hey biz they made walls with rocks here too, go figure!

    Last season I burnt my buck tag opening minutes on a single stub antler with a nice browtine I didn't see thru the green beech...he was a healthy 120lb dressed buck but I was doe hunting all season. The first week of November I had a lone doe come thru but I didn't get the shot off, had I, i would have tagged and left. Over the next 2 hours 2 awesome and 2 young bucks came thru the same way...the best prolly a 120 8pt I would have definitely shot. But the last buck to come thru on her trail alerted me to his presence with the scariest weirdest grunt I ever heard and may have been a 150"+ 12(maybe 14) with awesome splits...15 yards no tag but I would not have been there if I had had the tag.

    Moog I've had enough of you picking on our bizzy... I know you have been bored for 35 days str8 but the woodsmans version of an upper decker is a turd too far! I realize this is an A-B rivalry but I can't sit idly by any longer I've called the authorities.

    I had a crappy cable lock on my stickless set that got ganked a few years back...nothing but python cables now Monkey climbing a tree and busting a cable lock is almost like earnin a $40 hang on I guess?
