    I don't have access to BGF's linked video about alert deer jumping the string...but the conclusions were clear: No xbow or bow beats an alert deer at 40 yds. So either aim low or keep it inside 30. All but one of my buck harvest have been inside 20 most 15...bow and gun, more fun to get them close IMO.

    On the boundary of my lease with friendlies I have my name and phone number and it says "call before tracking" Any other side is straight up "NO TRESSPASSING"

    Fletch I mostly hunt N/S ridges, but at my lease it's a north face and I noticed all the maples were down by 10/16 green everywhere else I hunt...Sun exposure as well?

    I don't think anyone else has mentioned this yet, but this weather is not exactly great fur hunting, discuss. Seriously it sucks but I do think it's just a matter of time before it turns on, atleast relative to this season.. Last night this was all within eyesight of my stand I set on the lease weeks ago just based on an old rub line.
