    3:00ish dinner time, got the tenderloins from yesterdays buck goin on the table along with the turkey and fixins.

    Just curious but the vent outside isnt partially blocked is it? If it has a power vent it will kick off if it senses it may be plugged by snow or something else.

    Just had the most exciting hunting moment ever and im not hunting, except it didnt end the way i expected. My brother in law came out today, he told me he was going to sit in the "shooting shack" which is just on the edge of my field. I said sit there or the other stands i have looking over the field. Well im staring out my kitchen window and a doe and the big buck from yesterday come out from a golden rod field to the right of our house. They are walking through my field and walk 30 yards infront of the shooting shack. Now my whole family is staring out the window. Waiting for the boom...nothing...they walk into the woods. WTH! I call him and im like what just happened? Hes in the tripod stand 200 yards down the field and his back was turned that way because he couldnt see because of the sun! Wow...hopefully that doe leads the buck to him.

    My son took the picks, ill complain to him about the upside down thing. I was back in my house, "hunting" from my kitchen window. He came out, grabbed my trusty remington 788 in .308. First two shots missed 3rd shot at 350 yardsish running dropped him. Best part is, drag him back an 10 minutes later a bigger 8 walks through the field. Got within 75 yards of yhe house. Last pic.

    A bunch of fresh tracks on the way in, hope they a still moving around in the next hour.

    Back inside and off to work shortly. Had 1 deer come through the beans, then into the woods behind me. This was at 625, grunted at it and it came my way then went back. The frigid temps thursday will hopefully have them on thier feet early.

    Was watching a spike to my left, he started acting weird looking towards my annoying neighbors direction. Sure enough hes walking around. He didnt walk in till 730.

    Wow, ill take crunchy leaves over crunchy snow any day i think. Hopefully that walk in didnt scare all the deer out of genesee county. Good luck everyone.

    Slow evening, my brother ended up shooting a 5pt. Back at it in the morning.

    Back in, nice to see a set of tracks on top of my tracks from this am. Not sure if anything is alive after the 20+ shots from a neighboring property.

    Saw 4 deer this am, 3 doe 1 small buck. Looked like they had a chance to make it to my brother or dad so i let rhem walk. No one saw um. Tons of shooting on neighboring property, like 20+ shots. Hopefully they all are not shell shocked and they move this evening.
