Answer to your question yes they can be swapped out. I have a taxidermist friend used to spend a lot of time in his shop and watched him do it before. Sorry to say the truth is yes you get what you pay for.

Pulled the card today at my crab apple tree stand -
Was just down at the Webster pier along the outlet bridge on lake Ontario. Was absolutely crazy almost impossible to walk out or back down the pier. Waves were breaking a good 12-15ft over I was drenched!! The roar of the lake and wind was like none I have ever seen and I have lived right by the lake for a long time. The police and fire departments on both the Webster side and Irondequoit side of channel were evacuating homes along the beach. The sand from the beach along with the rain made visibility almost zero. This is no joke and the worse is yet to come. So far my home has yet to be evacuated but that may change as the night goes on. Anyone along the lake shore be safe and do not be afraid to spend the night some place else. Already lots of downed trees and power lines! Good luck to all and stay safe.

Rather large red-squirrel??

And is not June 27th out of squirrel season?? -
Monroe County declared state of emergency, closing schools and events they even opened up the Irondequoit bay outlet bridge 3 days earlier due to possible evacuation routes. I live within walking distance of bay and lake and weather service has sent out messages to us close by shore to be prepared for evacuation!! We shall see as of now not that bad. Windy but not crazy and not even raining.

I am a pretty avid waterfowl hunter have been for a long time and a lot of it is focusing down the barrel and not just shooting at the game. Clay targets are way different then live game especially when coming at you at all angles and speeds and flaring at the last minute Your fine with a modified choke that is best for duck hunting. I would switch to 4s instead of 2s for duck and leave the 2s for goose. Gives you more shot spread out in a little bigger pattern. Kents are a very good shell. What size shell are you using?? 2 3/4, 3, or 3 1/2. I would suggest using 3s or 3 1/2s! Depending on direction the birds are coming you may need to lead them a bit more. However I always say its best to let the birds decoy in and not just sky bust. Work on your calling, have the right decoy spread working with the wind and let them cup up and suck right down in. Be patient and wait for them to just about hit the water, at this point their momentum in sucking them down and is a perfect time to "Take Em". Your shots are usually straight on allowing you time if you miss to follow up by the time the birds have enough momentum to get the lift they need to fly away. Patients and practice and experience will make you a better shot and hunter!! Good luck and enjoy the wonderful world of waterfowl hunting!!!
