I have this camera set pointed towards my cabin for security purposes just to keep an eye when I am not down there. This little guy comes walking by!! Camera is set 18 yds from camp maybe I should just hunt off my deck from now on lol!!

Not sure KEVA probably just a 1 1/2 year old but good have been a 2 1/2. He was a very big bodied deer that's for sure. I will leave that up to some of the others on here to decide that would probably know better. Here are some other pics of him

Buck Tag filled!! 7:30 this am 20yd double lunger!! In Webster, NY WMA 8F! doe tag filled, buck tag filled got 1 more doe tag left then its waterfowl and small game till Gun season!! Love this sport and good luck to all- Shooter

Was out this am very chilly and a bit breezy saw 4 doe all together about 50 yds out. Sat for 2 hrs. this am then headed back out late afternoon wind died down and temps warmed up was actually a very pleasant sit however did not see anything another 2.5 hrs. Reporting from 8f town of webster.

Sounds like you timed it perfect if you ask me!! Keep in mind season would not even open till this weekend. And besides its been kinda slow out there anyway. Get all your stuff done and out of the way now So when that magic time comes around like end of October you can enjoy just sitting in a treestand. Good luck this season!!

What would be an illegal way of using a dog to track a deer? or are you saying that some may actually use the dog to hunt it then just cover it up by saying they were tracking it?? Just curious here

I disagree I have a chocholate lab that i trained for pheasants and waterfowl and has a great nose and could and would sniff out anything. I am not going to lie and be up front and honest and say I have taken her out on deer recoveries in the past and she has led us right to them. Honestly did not know untill I read this thread it was illeagal to do so nor did It ever cross my mind to even check if it was legal. Just assumed it was fine and I do take full responsability for it. Not making excuses or braging here just assumed that recovering the deer was of best interest. And now this is just out of curiosity what is the reason you cant use dogs to recover?? Just asking a simple ligit question not trying to start a heated battle. Anyone know?
