Hey guys, i have a winter project ahead of me. I would like to build a home made gun cabinet. Id like to build a 7 - 10 gun cabinet. Id like to put a sheet of glass, plexiglass, or plastic in the front. I would also like to make a drawer on the bottom. Both the cabinet door, and the drawer have to have a lock on them. Here is the problem, im not the greatest carpenter... Im sure i could do it though, but i was wondering if anyone has any blueprints / dimensions?

Ok, no matter where i look about bullet weights, people say you need to find the ammo that your gun shoots best. This is odd to me, I just put a savage edge .270 on layaway. When I pay it off after christmas, I plan on heading to the range. Am i supposed to buy multiple boxes of ammunition? I also have a remington 870 express super mag, I have only bought the silver box of 1oz rifled slugs from winchester for it, should i have tried multiple types of ammo? If i buy some remington 140gr ammo for my savage, and sight it in for that, what happens when i try 150gr or 130gr? I have to admit this is a little confusing. How many types and weights of ammo should i buy?

i wouldnt go .223, but i cousin has taken 3 deer with a .243, including a 3 year old ten point. I just bought a savage edge, whatever you do stay away from the remington 770

Alright, in the last few days i put a remington 770 on layaway, came home and looked up some information on it, decided i did not want to deal with the problems it has, and went back to get either a 700 or a savage. I have a tight budget, i go to school full time while i try to pay bills and start a life with my fiance, who was with me, so the 700 was out. The cheapest one they had was 600 bare gun, no scope, black stock etc... so i turned to the savage, I wanted a .270 caliber, and while i liked the 111 they did not have it in that caliber. I ended up getting an edge, with no scope on it. Now id like to buy a scope and need some suggestions, I have about a 150 dollar budget, and i would consider used if i had too. Any suggestions?

ok so after listening to some of you, and reading tons of reviews, im kind of having second thoughts, but the guy at gander mtn said its not to late, i can swap the gun for another one on layaway. any suggestions if thats the route i take?

So i went up to gander last night to buy my uncle some 150gr slugs for his muzzleloader, when i decide to browse the gun rack. I came across a remington 770 .270 caliber for $350.00! Youd better believe i was there with $100.00 this morning to put it on layaway. I know some people will tell you that the 770 have nothing but problems compared to the 700, but that is a big price difference, and this is my first rifle so problems or not im gonna have some fun with it.My question is, if i want to be dead on at 150 yards, how high do i need to sight it in at 50 yards?

In my opinion.... this has become and argument thread... the answer is simple. Not illegal to have alcohol in your possession, illegal to hunt under the influence. Either way it's not the safest idea, thats not an opinion, that is fact.

I shoot a smooth bore remmy 12ga express super mag, and i havent really been out there long enough to find an ammo that suits me best. As of now ive been using winchester ammo, but i hope to buy a .270 for next year...

10.5. got my first deer ever this season during archery. Problem is i was joking with everyone and said if i got my first deer with a bow, id buy a new bow because mines pretty old, but now that ive gotten one i dont really want to spend any $$$ lmao
