Otis last year I put my friend on his first bow buck

ive done most of my hunts on long island mainly riverhead northport does have a lot of deer but access is real tight .Otis is good and wabblers woods east and west side

isn't there a range for bow in dix hills I know if your not a member you can pay they have a 3d range for got the name of it ive been practieing in my buddys yard im good out to 40yrds I have shot 60 but that's a halemary shot

SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS good to see your back in the game .The woods to me is my quiet time my place to think and thank god for what we have ..I would like to join ya I myself hunt long island state and county property I hunt with two other fellas that I braught into the sport last year and got him his first bow buck .........

actually I do its for a friend of mine I had to sell his kayak for him to make ends meet I use the same sceen name on SOL it is for his son he turns 13 this year he just past the hunting class late last year they are from ny longisland area ..it would be great to give it to him he trys his best but life throws curve balls I took his father out this year with me and got him his first buck with the bow ......if you choose not to I understand .........very nice of you to do this

holly cow there some nice deer ...I would deff get the shakes I had a hugh 10 prob 150 class perfect deer in 3s area bunch of years back at 20 yrds clear shot and I could not get the bow up I was shaking so bad .....love the fever .......best of luck this year

MONTAUK holds some very nice deer as they say some good urban bucks i wrk out there for years as a kid on the party boats as a mate and you did not have to go far to hunt (cross street from captains cove) ....

hopeing to get out this weekend stil have 2 1/2 months left hopeing to connect with a decent one here on the island

FRIDAY THE 13 COUNTY PARK

decided to take a personel health day .....hit the woods on friday the 13 got up early to get my spot as hunting on county property is a first come basis.....well the walk in i spooked 5 deer all hung up in these spruce trees . i continue to my location about another 100yrds set up and see nothing all mornig i called it quiets around 9 i walk out all my gera is on my back tree stand and backpack...im walikng up the trail back to my truck and i know from past walking past the spruce trees and thikets thay alway are there so arrow is knoked .....i come up to the area and i here them in there and see one jumping around it that thick lol ...i have a nice opening 30yrs and a buck comes out and my harts pounding i have all my gera on my back the shot is 30yrs threw this sh#$% but i have a good window and i feel good about shot so i let it rip.......hes not big but its friday the 13 small 5/6 right in the boiler room

what is the hight most of you climb or what would you consider a good hight to set up ....also BEST GROUND BLIND SET UP how would you set up a ground blind

huntied sunday with a friend i did the scouting via topo and bing never been in theses woods before me and my buddy set up 100yrds apart i had the deer 50yrds but he did not want to commit ...deer walk 30yrds fro my friend and lights out .....

shot a doe 30 yrds quatering away how this happened i dont know i was using muzzy 100gr 3blade but also had a exit on other side ?????????

they usually click when there onto a doe

these LI deer by chance or upstate deer if LI why is it we dont get the mass as other states do most long islang bucks have nice racks just not the mass
