  1. I hear you. We have always just been very picky about the trees we use the climbers on, only use soft bark trees, not sure which tree it is called honestly. The teeth dig in nicely, and once up to the height we want, we use a small ratchet strap to help the upper cable hug the tree tighter. Going to get harnesses though, before our luck runs out.
  2. It's actually like a big tentacle that shoots out lol. Problem is, everything is crap now-a-days, simply cannot rely solely on electronics.
  3. Thank you for all the input so far, much appreciated. Not going to hide it, both my dad, and I have never used any harness. We are not proud of that, and ARE changing that this year. We always rifle hunted only from climbers, so it never seemed necessary. We now bow hunt, and have ladder stands as well, so it is just downright stupid of us at this point. My point is l, I need to look into each of your suggestions, and I will pick one out for myself, then explain the options to my dad. I will add to this with questions, and such, thanks again!
  4. Good morning all. My dad, and I both are in the market for a safety harness/system. I would appreciate any recommendations you have, or tips on what to stay away from, etc. I believe you get, what you pay for in most cases, so regardless of price, please share. I typically hunt out of either a 2 person ladder, or climber, if that is necessary info.... I would like a vest type that is simple to take on/off. I did scroll through topics in this section, until August of 2016.... Thanks
  5. Thank you. I had no idea the stainless pans needed seasoning. I swore the book said nonstick as they are out of the box. Obviously they are not, I should try seasoning them, shut up Rob...lol. Thanks Tommy
  6. They are fully stainless, handles etc...Food Network brand, have had these for over 5 yrs.
  7. Lol, I am clueless as far as copper pans go, no offense guys!
  8. Thank you. I also put water in it, and let the residual heat from the electric cooktop sort of warm up, and soak while eating. Although, they are still stained, which I am ok with, I just have slight sticking issues with only meat at first.
  9. I saw what ya wrote about sauce...lol. Oh yes, I have a pen and paper on the couch for wating Guy on channel 36 haha. Just when you though you had me allll figured out, I threw you for a loop, lol. I like Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, and its like all you see is stainless. I swear! I do like that shoe though.... Copper pans, goooood lawwwwwd! So stupid. Good stuff
  10. I have to be honest here, the first time I ever used one of the small fry pans, I threw a steak on it, without any oil. Oh my god, lol. Its still stained. Haha
  11. I already have these pans though, I want to utilize them lol. I have a smooth electric range top, otherwise I would use my old cast pan. Which I could use it on the stove, dissapointing. I see like all the chefs on TV use stainless, so I am hoping I can get some other tips. I dont have any issues with pasta sauce in these pans, honestly. Olive oil to saute the onions, and garlic, and add my tomatoes. Hmmmm. Thanks Rob.
  12. Hey guys.... I have Food Network brand stainless pans. I had read to heat them up, then add some oil, once the oil is heated, add the chicken/or meat. I can get the meats to not stick, but at first they stick a little, so I add another pinch of oil.... Olive oil in this case, and once meat is completely non-sticking, I lower the heat to desired setting, from medium to its initial heating process. P.S. I can see this thread derailing, lol. Food still comes out great in my opinion...pic included
  13. Honestly, I like bow season, but with my fake arm, I literally hold the bow with the fake arm the entire time, becomes old after a few weeks, due to awkwardness. Once rifle time comes, its like a big ahhh, and much more comfortable, because at that point, I do not use a prosthetic arm. Sort of a different view point, lol...
  14. Looks great Crappy, nice job. Heres my quick garbage... Homemade turkey burger with the obvious, in a roasted red pepper wrap. Trying to eat decent....
  15. Good jobs done WNY. Myself, my log homes frinally getting restored. It was said to be completed by July, but it has rained so much, it pushed it back. Glad it was started now, shouldn't take more than 2 weeks by the sounds of it. I was getting worried it would be getting done DURING deer season. I have also been cleaning up a lot of dead fall still from last winter, always something to do living in the thick pines.
  16. I did some work out back myself. I have a ton of small short pines out back, about 2"-4" diameter in size that fell over during that bad blizzard. Basically a tangled mess out back, so i went back, and consolidated them into a bunch of piles so I can walk through there, and hoping it increases animal travel. I only did a certain area, hope it was a good move. I did see a lot of deer scat. Regardless, I wouldn't have been able to shoot in there. Sounds like you had a great weekend Lawdwaz.
  17. Oh wow, thats neat, something different, might have to try that! Even pulled chicken substituted.
  18. Good man, frisbee me over one of them would ya...
  19. What is dis be? Is that ground beef with taco seasoning, black beans, corn, diced tomatoes? Onions too...?
