  1. I just had a dark penance for the first time tonight. Awesome! And had a dirty yesterday but from a can.
  2. Same here. About 4" snow left on the ground making it difficult.

  4. Probably could have taken out an hour earlier but it was really tender in the middle with some charred bark on the outside. Left in the smoker for about 8 hours with pecan wood. No need for bbq sauce.

  6. The narwhal, 120, 3 philos and backwoods are all about 3 years old. The wws is a few years old at least. I guess I'll hit the ipas and then maybe the kbs or manifesto for dessert. I've got backup. Others pictured are cellared gemini from southern tier and buton baton from dfh. Both awesome with almonds. CB silver back is a local and troegs perpetual is awesome.

  8. I use pork shoulder for pulled pork all the time. Little bit of vinegar on it with salt and pepper. Put it in the smoker or crockpot with the fat on top. 1/4" of fat at most is good. Fat renders and drizzles all down through the meat. Low and slow

I'm in the planning process of building a new smoker out of stainless steel. Can't wait but till then I still use an old school weber for now.   13. My kids learned to use a real metal detector at around 4 and 5 years old. I tucked some coins in a dirt pile and it kept them busy for quite a while.

  17. I do the same every once in a while. I also do it with coffee. Good to keep things in check. with that said...I gotta go grab a beer.
