This was a good one. Not as sweet as I expected. In fact not sweet at all.

Killians had a special place in my heart. It was a regular when I first started liking beer. Haven't had it in years. Funny side note: One time I forgot about a case of killians in my cold dark basement. It was there maybe 2 years. Found it one day under the dust and decided to try it. It was the best killians I ever had. It changed so much but somehow seemed to get better. It's kinda what got me to start aging beers that your "not suppose to age". I've created some doozers but sometimes get a pleasant surprise.

Didn't come up empty handed while looking for sheds in this downpour. You can tell how in tuned my eyes were looking for antlers that I actually found this knife with a sliver of decorative antler attached to it. I think this knife was special to someone. If anyone recognizes it let me know. There is one little detail that if it was yours you would be able to tell me. Also found this waterfall that isn't so much of a waterfall unless it's raining like this. All in all it was more fun than working today but I'm still bent on finding one of this years sheds.

The tropical ipa is the one I was referring to as not so great

Gross! Did it taste like smoked pork?

Love beer camp in the last few years. This year, not so much

I wouldn't even make my liver work for that

I do like the Jai Alai and their pale ale. I first had them down in florida and I guess it may remind me of being there.

That's looks so good I think my house even smells good. I love a pulled pork sandwich with ham cheese and a spoonful of coleslaw on it.

We should rename this thread "what's in your smoker this morning?"

Cigar city always tastes like they add a little green tea. I like it tho.

Although not directed to me I must point out that some ipa's cellar real well. After all they were created to last long trips at sea and be fresh when they arrived. Lately the ipa's that are being produced are being marketed to drink fresh. I store some of them just to do it. I have a lot of enjoy by's from stone that are past expiration just to see what happens to them a year or 3 later. Lots of hops and high alc volume can = ability to age. There are many other factor to consider like the sanitation practices and how the brewery carbonates. I at home am drinking ipa's from last spring that I made with lots and LOTS of hops that are even better now than they were this last summer. This is just from my experience. To answer the question... at 3-4 months probably no big deal for most beers. Some beers that have seen a lot of light can skunk. Especially beers not in brown bottles. Ever had a Corona that had been in the sun and heat for a week or so. Really not pleasant even with a lime.

Awe man that looks good. any updates? I'm not sure I've ever fired up the smoker on a Tuesday.

Have always had one in my kitchen and recently bought another so all of us can eat at the same time.

Do you make your own dough in a rectangle or is that from the store? We love make your own pizza night here but could do with out all the flour flying around.

I'm already looking for more.

Steak and eggs. Pickled eggs that is.

Citra is by far my favorite hop and I rarely ever have less than a pound or two on hand.

I would typically call this my Strong one a day IPA however this batch came out different. I think I carmelized it a bit while brewing which made it come out more like bitter candy that makes you happy. If that makes any sense to ya. It makes the hair on the back of my neck stand straight because my senses get overwhelmed and don't know what to do I think. Anyone who's tried this batch says something similar.

Homebrew. All grain ale sitting at 12%. Backed up by more Citra hops than any real brewery would dare or be able to afford.

Sorry for the delay. The dark penance was very hoppy. More straight up hop flavor than I'm used to in an black ipa and I think that's why I liked it so much. The dirty bastard is a solid beer but I preferred the dark penance. I was slightly surprised by the dark penance. Didn't think it would be so good by looking at the bottle.
