  4. There is constantly a guy on Craigslist posting pics of big bucks and offering a lease in the county.....funny to hear first hand how the Amish have destroyed it like alot of property in the southern tier of NY they taken over. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  5. I got replacement hub and poles for my Ameristep that collapsed last season. The problem I had is there was a freeze before I could get to it and a huge chunk of ice formed on the top causing so much weight the side poles exploded. When I called Ameristep they told me I would just have to cut the poles to length for my specific blind. Now it is good as new. So this season I bought Cabela's brand blinds......they apparently have a lifetime warranty and I was told if they break to bring it back to the store and they will give me a new one. 7. My buddy just told me another friend of ours recently out two of these up on his new property. He was quite impressed and said they seemed pretty heavy duty....and with the pitched roof they wouldn't hold the snow like a hub blind. https://www.ghostblind.com/product/ghostblind-octagon-hunting-box-blind-diy-kit/ Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  8. Let the smokepole bark I see......congrats Fletch! Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  9. Just curious since I am bored as heck not seeing anything right now in 9h.....why would you even allow him on your property if he does things like that. Your land .....your rules. Seems like you got a nice spot....and him doing things like that are nutz. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  10. I am looking into something like this for next year.....not sure in price....maybe 700.00 Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  11. Ended up hopping in my new set in the grapes a little before 4.....upon getting to the stand I noticed two doe bedded about 75 yards straight away. After I got up into the stand and turned around ...they were now on their feet and bounding away. A minute or two later I see another doe make make its way thru the grapes and leave the property....within a minute or two it turns tail and comes screaming back onto my property and is walking parallel to my stand thru the grapes. I take a quick look down the lane and jude it to be 70 yards. She enters the lane.....I give a "meahh" to stop and take a shot with the crosshairs on her shoulder. She immediately reacts and runs straight away 10-15 yards and then starts zig zagging they the grapes eventually nose diving 65 yards from where she was shot. I am pretty happy....1st deer with the new Savage 220 and venison in the freezer. So as I am packing my gear up and calling the wife I notice her stand and make a small circle and bed down again. Through the binos I assume she is dead so I walk over slowly looking for the deer 20 minutes later and eventually bump her..... immediately back out and head home for dinner and and make a few phone calls. I ended up talking with my dad and we were going to head back at first light then my one hunting buddy convinced me to go back tonight since we may get a pretty nasty ice storm in the morning. Well after getting back there around 9pm and a .25 mile track which took us thru some thick stuff and which also showed us she bedded multiple times we ended up finding her not far from her last bed that had heavy blood. Glad we got on her tonight because she already had he back end nibbled on and tail completely gone. In addition it was pretty cool since I just hung this stand on Wednesday...and not that I wanted to track at 9pm.....but my buddy that I have been hunting with for years was able to help with a textbook track and retrieval. 15. Couldn't stay in the house all day.....decided to to throw up a new in set in my never ending pursuit to pop one in these dang grapes. Also took the Savage 220 for a stroll around the property thinking I may sneak up on something in this wind. Here is a peak from the new set ......looks like deer were moving this morning, so we'll see how this spot plays out over the weekend. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
