    Was surrounded by doe tonight....3 in my woodlot...no shot as they were feeding in the thick stuff...another 6 in the cut corn field just browsing along. One possible buck 200+ yards away skirting the cut corn to hop woodlots. Overall fun night. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

    Went liver....lung on a buck that must have spun as I shot last fall. Crosshairs were locked right behind the shoulder and the buck was ever so slightly quartering to...ended up running 30 yards and dropping like a ton of bricks.     This has done the job for many years at camp....but needs to be taken apart and fine tuned. I hear what you are saying about being higher....ours is 10ft to the main beam and that doesn't allow for us to jack them up high enough. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

    We used a deer cart on my Archery Buck that we got for my dad years ago when he adventured out by himself, and decided to drop one....with no help in sight. Thing worked like a charm.     I agree...made the decision to hunt closer to home this opener and skip camp....haven't hunted with my buddy in years...so my dad and I will be heading out with him tomorrow morning....not always about the deer we shoot....but deff about the memories we make! Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

    Guy i spent many opening days with in the past arrives at camp the night before opening day.....usually shoots about 1 min after legal time.....texts me the sex and distance he shot it at.....and if it is a good morning droops another one before we head in for lunch. After the first time I have learned to text him to start recovery and gutting process and I will be over after 11 to grab the deer with the ATV...first year he waited for me to arrive and wanted help gutting...that process of recovering two deer and help clean took till mid after noon and I missed lunch and made it back to the stand for a few hours that afternoon.     I agree....Monday was way better....sneak in a last day bow hunting or just time to prep for the opener. I am stressed as all heck out the opener Sat. Busy all week at work and with appointments and errands in the evening. Try to spend some quality time friday with the family before hunting this weekend. No longer head to camp with having to little ones under the age of 3....so it is nice to have a bow deer in the freezer allowing me to hunt both mornings and dedicate the afternoon to them. Need to pull the battery in the ATV to put on charge it....killed it last weekend by accidentally leaving the key on...so just another thing to add to the to-do list!
