  1. Went down to the cabin last week to cut the grass in between rain drops. While we were there, I figured I would put out one of the trial cams by my stand. Parents went down to cut the grass this week and I got these sent to me this afternoon....
  2. I have TWO used bows, that I will list seperate due to the pictures, from the early and mid 90's (respectively) for sale. I am looking to get as much as I can out of them (obviously, LOL!!) $50 EACH. I AM willing to entertain offers as I do know that these are older.....plus shipping or local pickup in South Buffalo area Both of these were used and hunted with within the last 3 years and produced kills of both deer and a large bear, both with Rage 125's. Both bows are naked minus peep on both and cat whiskers. Both bows are intact and all threaded inserts are intact as well. Pics in this post are of the Browning X-Celerator II 1. PSE USA Spirit - 45-60# with 65% let-off. String is appears to be good to the eye and can say that bow is quiet. Other than that, I can only tell you that I bought it brand new in the early 90's and was used for many many years with regular maintenance. Dad used it to hunt with and killed a 7pt and a LARGE bear in 2010. Used it until 2012 then gave it to my son to get him interested. 2. Browning X-Celerator II - AS FAR AS I KNOW......last set around 50-55lbs. Unknown of the let off, unknown of max draw length. My draw is short, around 28". As with the other one, string appears to look good and can still feel the wax. The sticker on the limb, has been painted over and was tried to be scraped off but didn't really work to well. Has "custom" camo paint job, and yes that is supposed to be sarcasm. Pics of this bow will be in next post listed under "OLD bows for sale" Seller assumes NO LIABILITY, these are sold AS IS in USED condition Both will be cross posted on multiple sites. Will take offers on first come first served by order of time stamp in reply

  4. Like everyone else, I too use Google to get a lot of information, feedback and suggestions to questions. And as I just stated, I did this time too. But I thought I would get the opinions of the guys and girls on here, kind of a survey in a sense. What do you all use for fletchings? Full size? Blazer size (2in)? Feathers? And why? What do you feel is the real difference? I know this is just like the question "what's the best broadhead and why?" And am going to get tons of different answers and opinions but am curious as to what all of you have to say....
  5. So after shopping for new bows with/for my son and psuedo son, I realized that I wanted a new sight. Since I didn't have a big budget, I settled on the Trophy Ridge Volt 5 pin. Ordered it from Amazon since it was a "prime" item and was $10-20 cheaper than anywhere else. Got it today and can't say enough about it so far. Absolutely the brightest fiber optics I've ever seen on any kind of sight on a gun or bow. So I am gonna install it tomorrow and wondering if anyone had had tips/tricks to keep the bow as sighted in as possible? I was thinking of using a metal straight edge on the riser and a set of digital calipers and take a TON of measurements to get the pins as close as possible to what they are set at now. What do you guy and gals think of the idea? I know that I will still have to sight in to exacts, but I'm thinking that this will put me pretty close. Almost like bore sighting a rifle and scope in a way. Pic is with the room lights off and the sight light on.....I know I have to check the legalities of the sight light and WILL obey all applicable laws regarding said light. Light is removable and will do so if necessary so please don't turn this into a legal and law(s) thread
  6. My father is the one who taught me to hunt and shoot. My wife is my best friend (cliche I know but true) who loves to shoot and wants to hunt and loves sitting with me. But despite all that, its always my father. I dread the day when I CAN'T call him first
  7. Was just informed my son wants to buy a bow. He is even going to sell his PLAY STATION 4 to pay for it!!!! Anyways....I'm looking for something used but newer. Preferably PSE but open to others, especially Elite (within reason). WNY would be best. Looking to see what's out there and will go from there. I still can't believe that a teenager wants to sell a video game console to do something OUTSIDE!!! What the hell is happening ????
  8. I have two of the Legendary sweatshirts among other various things from them. With the sweatshirt you have shown above.....be careful. The camo deer emblem/logo gets holes in it ridiculously easy. I don't know if it happens in the washer or what but both of mine have 3-5 small holes in the logo part. They are only about the size of a normal drinking straw at most but its pretty annoying. I have plans to write them about it just haven't gotten around to it,,,, BUT with that being said, they have GREAT products otherwise
  9. And this 9y afternoon hunt called on the account of weather. Hail/sleet rain and holy winds....temp dropping like a rocket. Wind is the biggest issue now
  10. At least u can have a cheese sammich with mustard???
  11. Correct me if I'm wrong but with the front moving into 9y and the temps dropping like a ton of $#!t....should it not get these 4 legged brown things that were after up and moving?
  12. Ok....now what time is the deers appointment to be here?
  13. Usually not for squirrels and anything else during gun with the exception of predators and we shoot porcupine on sight because we bring our dogs down. Archery season I have zero problem shooting something
  14. Oh I have definitely noticed and I usually try to stay out of them but this kinda irritated me for some reason that nobody was pointing out the obvious
  15. You and me both....I'm watching the same thing but it's not happenin
