  1. It was actually my grandfather who served in WWII, he was in the army. Fought from North Africa all the way to German. Survived 3 beach landings..... Sicily, Salerno, and Anzio. Was one of the first US soldiers to enter Rome. Actually was personally handed rosary beads by the pope. Headed from there to France and then into Germany. I did not serve.
