Yes when I first posted I wasn’t 100% but after getting very up close with the hole before throwing down the smoke bombs I’m 100% sure that’s what it was. I also have increased coyote activity on cams around the whole property. People online love to be the big man from behind the computer screen. But when there is a active coyote den 40 yards off your back porch with la deer front quarter mostly dragged down the hole it makes you think. Maybe we should dig a hole and bury your dumb A$$ In it. I’m sorry if some people here think what I did was wrong. But what would you do if there was a den with pups 40 yards out your back door. You have a 1 year old son and two dogs who don’t walk on a leash. Would you allow protective mother coyote to set up shop out your door. Now there is no proof I harmed any animal. I did smoke out the den with a gopher bomb and then cover the hole with rocks and lawn clippings. If you feel I did wrong I’m sorry but I feel I did what I had to do. It is a camp and no the den is downhill and down stream from my well. I’m at this camp every weekend. All I did was throw a smoke bomb in a hole in the ground. So I used the poison smoke gopher bombs from agway.. when I got to the mouth of the den I could see I whole deer front quarter sticking out, put the smoke bom in covered in last years law clippings and ran back, nothing came running out but I was ready if it did.... I will say this my uncle bought a house that had a large gun safe bolted to the floor. The kind that has the electric key pad. The previous owner after a year called and said there were guns in the safe and he wanted them and the safe back. Now my uncle had called him many times before to come get his stuff and he did not. So my uncle said no. We hired a locksmith to come open the safe.
