I was in dicks today and they had a pack of 4 spitfires for the price of three So I bought them any thoughts on them vs the grim reaper. I live in 3s, westchester and decided I'm going to only bow hunt this year ive been having so much fun and want to get my first bow deer.

Just shot over the back of a nice 8 he was chasing does and grunting all the way in my first shot ever at a deer with a bow tons of deer on this property can't wait to get another chance

WhaT does everyone use as their drag rag.... I have been using and old hunting sock that I wash with the rest of my hunting cloths

I hunt less than 10 miles from there that's really scary what the hell is wrong with people....

He's not going to be hunting deer for a long time but I'm sure bubba will be hunting for his corn hole whiel he's in jail...I guess the dumb ones eventually get what they deserve

Yea my theory is that If I do this over the next few hunts it may trick the buck into thinking that a hot doe keeps visiting the area and hell check it more often

So when I got down from my stand Sunday night I took a little walk and noticed 3 fresh scrapes along the game trail that runs by my stand there were also 2 very nice rubs. I opened the bottle of estrus sent that I had in my pocket and poured a little in each scrape. I'm hunting again Wednesday and Thursday should I make a sent drag an hit all 3 scrapes on the way to my stand or am I spreading my own sent around to much

Thanks noodle I didn't give up still saw nothing but that's ok when I got down I took a quick walk and was amazed how much sign was within 20 yards of my stand in all directions

No apple orchard in northern westchester that I pay to hunt... That's what makes it more frustrating

Ok so ive been in my stand since 10 about 30 min ago the kid in the house behind me started blasting music I can hear it clearly and I'm 200 yards away I've also seen 3 kids on dirt bikes drive by and I can hear them to I hope this doesent kill my hunt I have less than an hr untill dark gunna stick it out

Finally in my stand on a new prosperity I wanted to hunt 30 yards into the woods apples to my left corn to my right jumped 2 does in the apples on my way in hopefully my sent drag Works today planning on sitting until dark

Yea it's getting bad I did see a convoy of about 6 Sunoco trucks heading north on 87 this morning. And yea Elmo you should deffinatly fill up there it's a sure thing and in the early am the lines are short. I grew up in the area and the woods on the side of 87 have a lot of deer in them stop off get gas and sit for an hr... Jk.., to bad we can't hunt southern westchester tons of deer

For all of you heading upstate from li or NYC this weekend to hunt the rest stop on 87 north just past the toll by stew lenards has gas the line is about 15 to 20 min. They have had gas since the start and the lines are shorter and shorter good Luck I hope this helps you get upstate

Yea this is getting crazy and I'm starting to worry that if I don't get power back today that with this new storm comming I'll never get it back.... Matter what happens I'm going hunting one day this week. And bizarro my girlfriends mother is in maopach heard the Mobil on Bryant pond rd is a fast line

Thanks for the tip on the gas I was planning on hunting north Salem maybe I'll try and get gas in maopach... Now I just have to convince the woman and I'm in business

This is nuts I have no power no hot water and no heat. Can't find gas to put in my truck and I have a sick girlfriend... How in the hell do I justify to her that i want to go hunting tommrow.. I haven't figured it out yet but I'm gunna try haven't been out since sandy

Really wanted to get out there today had plans to hunt a new prosperity with lots of food sources.... Kind of hard to justify to my girlfriend that I'm gunna go hunting and leave her when we haven't had power in 4 days and she is sick as a dog....god I hate doing the wrong thing
