I believe that the initial setup is part of the purchase and the sloop and peep. Stabilize and quiver will come a Bit later.... Arrows are not part of the 50-75 budget.... That's just what I want to limit for the sight and release. The rest that you mentioned..... I completely forgot about them. Looks like I got to squeeze a few more items on the shopping list.

After months of debate with the wife and a lot of indecision over getting new or used and the cost I Finally decided to get a new bow for my first. I went with a Mission Craze. The price was in range of what i wanted to spend and left me a little wiggle room to get a release and a sight. The unfortunate side is I shoot lefty so the shop had to order a bow for me. I have about a week to 10 days before i get it in hand. As for the sight and release.... anyone have suggestions for an inexpensive setup? (i only have 50-75 left to spend)

I left NY for a job in sunny Fl... The original job that I moved for feel through just before I started. I got lucky and landed a position with another company that I've been with since. ... why'd I come back.. I didnt like the sun or being warm anymore. seriously now, I honestly didn't want to leave but, with the way things are going (around the whole country) I came back to help family out and better my own situation in the process. Beleive it or not... I missed being here. I can do with out the cold though. I missed the forests here as well! I wasn't really comfortable in the woods in Fl (something about coral snakes, rattlers and the bugs bothered me). Florida is a great place but you have to have $$$$$$ to really get by. and it is way over populated (there is about 3 million people in pinellas and hillborough co's. What has been cool is that I was able to keep my job for a few extra weeks working remotely. That comes to an end as of friday and I start with a new company monday. ;D

I have been back for almost 4 weeks! ( things have ben super hecktic lately) it was a crazy move from Forida to NY. My car decided to die on the tuesday of our last week.... had to get a used car just here (it was gonna cost a fortune to fix it). Got lost in Richmond Va. due to missing an exit for the 26 in NC.. so the drive took an extra 15 hr's! we managed to get here safe though. my stuff arrived a few days later. the delivery was rescheduled due to the snow storm we had here in March and the only thing damaged was a lamp shade! I've started to adjust to the cold.... though I cant stand the constant wind cant wait to get out in to the woods again! just gotta find the time.

I smoked a bit.... Well a lot as a teen... And in college.....I quit just before my first was born.. Wish cigarettes were that easy..... Nowadays i'm a stress-aholic. I've had it suggested that I should try smokin up a little. Dr's are quick to prescribe pills for everything. I hate pills... IMHO most pain and anxiety drugs should be illegal! I know people that have had there lives ruined after being prescribed things like vicodin and oxycodone...( can't remember any of the ones used for anxiety) and a few died from ODing on pain killers. I also know some very successful people that toke occasionally! I never really understood why pot is illegal. Its a plant.. It does not require any refining or mixing with chemicals to activate it. Its not addictive. Not like most prescription drugs or heroin.. It relaxes the mind and the body. The only side effects I ever heard of are getting the munchies . I can't think of anything bad except its against the law.

I actually don't plan on buying any bow yet... until i get into a pro shop and ask some questions.... in any case spending $400-$700 on something that I may not like or can't use properly doesn't work for me... I won't buy online from many places anymore.. I rather support the small shops.

If I do that... then I won't have the cash to buy a bow or lessons! ??? Thanks for the tips guys... looks like im gonna have a busy first few weekends checking some of these places out! I had my eye on a martin package on huntersfriend.com the site has given me alot of info to start with.

Thanks for the tips all! Culvercreek, I've only ever shot using my fingers. I think I want to try a release though.
