You'd think so but no, they don't allow that. I finally escalated up the chain and talked to someone who said they do that to stop people from printing multiple copies and handing them out. I asked what prevents someone from doing that when they first receive the PDF and he didn't have an answer. Anyway, the field officers will accept a digital copy on your phone, so now I carry that as well as a hard copy with a few other copies stashed in various places.

Print a few copies of your fishing license and save a digital copy. If you lose it, it's a pain to get another.

They want us to start wearing masks again???

I had great luck with these: https://www.prbullet.com/ -
She's very cute.

No. Through the air in the tiny and at times crowded cafe filled with unmasked people. Had another friend get it in the Provincetown cluster but that might have been from the big gay orgy.

Delta may give us the herd immunity so many were hoping for last year. Hard to say what the cost will be. A vaccinated cook/waitress in my little town just came down with Delta. She probably serves a few hundred people in a weekend.

Ha! I walked into a hardware store a few years and asked for a bastard file. The kid looked at me like I was insane.

Thanks. The axe I used was an SOB - heavy and short - and I wouldn't want to spend a day with it.

We live in a world where mystery is lost. I can look at something happening across the world as easily as I can look out my kitchen window. It's cool and probably useful, but the downside is that the world becomes a little less fascinating. However, when it comes to the intangible and questions of life, the universe and everything, I find the discussion to be far more interesting and ultimately satisfying than the answer. (Even if that answer is 42 ... which all things considered, is a pretty good answer.) Not sure if I mentioned this before but the reason I fly fish is because of a conversation I had with an old ghillie in Ireland. I asked him why he fly fished and he took a moment and said, "There are two things in life that I know are coming, but I don't know when. The first is the strike of a trout and the second is death. And to tell the truth, lad, I like the anticipation of each." So given these big questions, I want the anticipation to last as long as possible and accept the possibility that I may never know the answer.

I'm not a quantum physicist, but I'm using the Copenhagen Interpretation as a way to define my type of contented agnosticism. Put simply, while the box is closed the cat (or God) exists in a superposition of both states and only by opening the box does the cat collapse into one state. Schrödinger argued the opposite but I like a mystery.

The sad part is that I've been WOLC'd but all I got was this lousy t-shirt. Honestly, if I were a "100% bs troll", I'd like to think I'd be better at it. As a long-time agnostic, part-time rosicrucian, unrelenting cynic and aspiring stoic, I may well be long past salvation. Or maybe I just subscribe to the Marxian credo: “I don’t want to belong to any club that would accept me as one of its members.” I tend to take the Schrödinger's Cat approach to God and find the world much more interesting with a closed box. However, it has been said that there are no atheists in foxholes or deer stands, so who knows? Ask me again in November. As for abortion, that's about all I'm willing to discuss. It's too personal and far too hot a subject to discuss or debate in a public forum. I will say my opinion has shifted over the years and may change again. I do find it a little sad that you would suggest I took pleasure at the death of a person like RBG. She seemed like an exceptional person who lead an extraordinary life and celebrating her (or another's death) isn't within my personal tenets.

Thanks. I will totally do "career day".

I hit "successional" pretty hard, but is there money in it if I use "riparian" and "diversity"?

Kinda hot. Smart. Humble .We agree on more things than I would have thought and I like the fact that she speaks her mind regardless of the political or personal ramifications. She got a raw deal in the primary.

Thought I'd put this here as it seems somewhat relevant. https://www.gothamcanoe.com/taking-over-heaven-with-a-five-pound-axe/

I'm trying to finish an article on grouse habitat but I'll play for a moment. I'm anti abortion but not for the reasons most conservatives are. I believe in a smaller, smarter government, but that's probably a lost cause. I support the 2nd amendment but with a ton of caveats. Maxine Waters is batshit crazy, AOC while starting out well has come to believe her own press and needs to shut up, learn and do her job, not up to speed on the Squad other than I consider them lightweights, I liked Obama as a guy but didn't consider him a great president, Pelosi like McConnell are unlikable but I recognize that they are both excellent political players so tolerable for both sides under today's political climate, not sure on Schiff other than he's a lawyer and I hate lawyers. Well, Moog seems to be okay. MTG = Marjorie Taylor Greene and she is as dangerous as she is stupid. Biden? I have said before that he is way too old and past his prime but that he could be an important president in the transition from Trump. I have to get back to work so have fun storming the castle, boys. And this thread should be moved.

Pond goin in on the zeeks homestead

Is this dependent on rain or do you have a water source to fill? -
Not really. As I've explained many times: mostly centre and a little conservative on these issues over here and a little liberal on those issues over there. Don't confuse my thinking Trump is a buffoon, Cruz an asshole, MTG an idiot, and Gaetz a disgusting POS with having a liberal attitude or position. I think those opinions are shared by people on both sides of the political spectrum. Not in years, but there's an olde timey baseball league in my town that I'd like to join. Maybe next year.

By that cracker-jack example of deductive reasoning can we assume you have 639 lawnchairs? I'm left handed, Larry.

So you're saying he can lie because he is "protected on high"? As to the possibly faked twitter posts, I learn from the best: "By the way, you have a poll coming out. Unfortunately, I want to know what it is. You know they do that straw poll, right? If it's bad, I just say it's fake. If it's good, I say, 'That's the most accurate poll, perhaps, ever,'" Trump told the audience at the Conservative Political Action Conference. In all seriousness, here is a recording that Michael Fanone received after testifying. WARNING - EXTREME LANGUAGE NSFW or KIDS or NORMAL PEOPLE. Honestly, I'm a little impressed that the caller didn't throw the n-word in there for the hell of it. This should be moved to politics so Grouse can take it over and I can go back to focussing on where to put my deer stands this year.
-
I believe two things: 1) that it's very hard for an average person to lie to a court/congress with all this media scrutiny and that the average person isn't going to compromise everything he has in life to get the other side. 2) that in a violent hopped-up mob of mostly old white guys, it's easy to see the n-word being used against someone trying to prevent them from breaking into the capitol. How do we know those aren't fake news and photoshopped? But let's assume the are real. Regular guys are allowed opinions and those are rarely neutral as they are often based on personal experience. Anyway ... A black guy holding up a BLM sign with what I presume is his daughter wearing a Black Girl Magic t-shirt. Colour me shocked. Someone being disappointed in sleepy weird Ben Carson? Radical. Calling out Carlson/Ingraham for being goddamn tools? They don't believe half of what they say and are playing their audience for money. Clearly, this Dunn guy is deep state.
-
Has anyone checked Officer Dunn's locker for a copy of Rules for Radicals and a signed picture of Emma Goldman? I don't think I ever said that.
