    "You put a dog down while there's still something to him other than his wounds." Dogs don't have the expectation of tomorrow, so it isn't cruel to end their lives prematurely. Difficult, but not cruel. Artificially keeping a dog alive for your own purposes may be. At least, that's how I look at it. Good luck.

    I was astounded on how awkward he seemed, as if it was the first time he handled a rifle. I'd love to hear those two stories. It may not be hunting at its best (or even you at yours) but it's sound like you still carry them, which says something about you.

    Mammoth Lakes in the Eastern Sierra is pretty spectacular. Low res shots really over processed. The Upper Owens. Hot Creek. John Wayne rode through here in True Grit.

    Yukon would be cool. The nice thing is that you could hop in the truck, head north and turn left at Hudson Bay. I'm looking at a Maine fly fishing trip this fall.

    Europe is life the way it should be - good fresh food, great cheap wine, slow easy pace. Coincidentally, I got a call from a friend in the Canary Islands an hour ago. Among the things we discussed was his dinner. @Bionic are you looking for a new travel destination? And what is your favourite place?
