  1. Why do you feel like you need to get hostile? I'm offering a solution. You don't have to accept it.
  2. I don't use the ones that come with the gun. I bought combination trigger locks instead. I don't use them when at home, only when in the car.
  3. On the contrary, I hate Ray Kelly and Michael Bloomberg which makes me believe you're not following my point. The ridiculous amount of restrictions I have to deal with in NYC is a major joke. Getting licensed and registering is easy. I'm asking for a unifromed law across all states and a removal of restrictions and in it's place, have a national license and registration process. A renewal requirement for the license but a reduction in it's fees. In other words, rather than ban guns, forces licencing and registration instead.
  4. Sort of like a twitter feed. I can dig it.
  5. Making it tougher for criminals won't deter all criminals because the most determined and most resourceful criminals will still get their ways but if it doesn't deter some criminals then I ask you, why do you lock your door when you go to work? I mean, if a criminal is going to break in anyway with or without obstruction, then why don't you just save yourself the trouble of having to fix a broken lock by leaving your front door wide open?
  6. You guys watch one to many episodes of CSI or something. Those hard core criminals make up a small percentage of the criminals out there. Also, have you heard of the Broken Window Theory? It kind of relates here.
  7. So you're saying every single criminal will have another simple way to obtaining a firearm? Not a single criminal will be deterred? [editted grammar]
  8. It doens't stop another Newton, CT incidence but it'll save a the random kid in Brownsville, Brooklyn who was gets hit by a stray bullet when a random teen thug shoots at another random teen thug with a gun he couldn't get in NY so he got a buddy to drive down to Georgia and buy it for him there.
  9. It's already 12/21/12 over in Asia and they seem to be doing fine right now.
  10. I'm for a more uniformed law at a national level. I understand environmental and cultural differences betweeen the urban streets of Chicago and New York are completely different from the roaring hills of Montana but some closer similarities would be needed. Strict background checks and mental health evaluations to obtain license. Periodic health evaluations required for renewal. I say every 5 years. Such evaluations should be covered by insurance. These evluations would not only raise flag for mass shootings but also the Timothy McVeigh's and those contemplating suicide. License is required for purchase and possession. A paper trail for firearm purchases. Laws don't prevent criminals from doing whatever they do but if you don't think the lack of a paper trail and the lack of a licensed requirement is how a majority of criminal obtain their firearms illegally then you haven't rub elbows with many criminals. Once properly evaluated, you should not be restricted to the type of firearm you can purchase and possess. Basically, firearm should be treated like a motor-vehicle. You have to pass a test and then obtain a license. But once you have a license, they don't tell you that you can only drive minivans but not sportscars. Of course if you want to drive a 18 wheeler, you just need to pass a different test and obtain a different license. If caught breaking the law, your gun/vehicle will be impounded and your license will be suspended or revoked.
  11. There is already a product out in the market for such an event...it's called a self defense gun.
  12. small game hunters? waterfowl hunters?
  13. I believe you have to buy and install tapatalk in order to do so. [edit] but i'm not 100% positive though.
  14. Peroni, Stella Artois, Hoegaarden, and Sam Adams Occtoberfest.
  15. It is why everything I carry in, I carry out, never leave anything out of my sights. If I see someone elses stuff, I respect it and leave it alone. But yes, if the choice was to have it used or have it stolen, I certainly would rather have it used.
  16. Apparently my ruse has been unveiled. "I would have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for you meddling kids."
  17. Maybe Sit just hasn't realized it yet. Just kidding!
  18. Charles Manson and Jeffrey Dahmer were all very calculating and neither of them were labelled insane by court but to plan on murdering 20+ innocent kindergarten children is not normal.
  19. Because you know what? I sit in my office and I get into a debate. Then I'll go to a meeting, try to finish some stuff so I can leave on time, do some stuff at home and then by the time I check back on the forum, 5 pages worth of posts have already been added. At that point, I think it isn't even worth it to skim through 5 pages of rants to see what the responses are. This is with me already having some threads filtered. These moderators have to go through all the posts - it's like a full time job, and they do this for free. So thank you for keeping this site up and running and as civil as it possibly can.
