Christmas spirit is about the love all around us. Even in the worst of times, the smallest gifts can mean the most. I got choked up unwrapping this shadowbox photo of Jake with his old NY Giants collar inside. I know many of you would also give anything right now just to have your loved ones close by again. Enjoy the gifts and spirit of giving now with those you love. Merry Christmas everyone!

I can't speak for the Mexican Cake (yet), but distinct from Christmas Bomb. A little more depth to the Prarie brews, probably from the chocolate, than the Cassian Sunset. Pretty sure you'll enjoy this one.

Wow, this is pretty darn good. I was told that Central Waters had an excellent barrel aging program and their Cassian Sunset doesn't dissapoint. An imperial stout with coffee, vanilla and cinnamon flavors a plenty. I'm glad there are no peppers to heat up the cinnamon because this finishes pretty smooth. 11.7% ABV seems just right. Recommended.

I am firmly in the no-meat lasagna camp, but your version sounds equally delicious! Instead, I pile on as much sausage and meatballs as my plate will hold.

Perfect! I'm headed to see my folks on Wednesday and the #1 thing I'm looking forward to is Mom's lasagna. Always a great dinner choice.

I'm off til next year. Feels great to say that! My goal for the next 1 1/2 weeks is to eat, drink and be merry! TF 12 Beers of Christmas, #9. I would much rather be sampling brews like this Double Daisy Cutter double pale ale than fighting the crowds out shopping. Another good one with a sneaky 8% ABV.

May as well have dessert. Local Brown's Brewing Oatmeal Stout at 5.25%. Light, smooth, easy-drinking stout. Good stuff.

I've always enjoyed Sam Winter as one of those easy drinking seasonal brews. Cold snap isn't too shabby either, but TF and aboa have turned me into an IPA fan now.

Hunted a new spot with a buddy tonight, adjacent to their family cemetary! The land is posted, but people are dying to get in there. He never hunted in there before so this was more of a scout and sit. You know it's going to be a good spot when you step out of the car and into piles of deer poop under an oak tree with tons of acorns. Scouted a bit then sat til dark. No deer showed, but plenty of rubs, runs and poop to justify going back Monday.- 10374 replies

TF 12 Beers of Christmas, #7. Wow! Prarie Double Dunk imperial stout with oreo is a gem. 11.9% ABV and still smooth. Great pick TF. Both Prarie brews were excellent.
