And thanks for your lack of a sense of humor. Although, Id have to say Ive posted on this subject plenty, provided plenty of facts and opinions on it over the years. Im just glad the issue is all but done with.

QDM Meeting with Neighbors
WNYBuckHunter replied to dbHunterNY's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Doing what work for me? You are the one that keeps saying that the study is proven science, etc etc. So then, Im asking for links to other studies that come up with the same results. I cant find any. You just keep talking around the subject. -

BTW, that one study is the only thing youve posted to present your case. Ive been asking you for almost a week to provide links to more studies. You lack of response makes me think they dont exist. Please, pony up with the info, and Ill read it and go from there. What dont you understand? -
QDM Meeting with Neighbors

Last year they auctioned one. I was there. Again, they are only against certain aspects of the industry, not the industry as a whole. Hunting natural born deer that live inside an enclosure larger than a wild deer's natural home range, is no where near the same as hand raised genetic mutant pets that are shot the same day they are put into a 100 acre pen. To say they are is just silly. -

The QDMA is not against all deer farming, so I have no issue with it. In fact, Ive only seen them auction off one enclosed hunt, and that was a place that consisted of tens of thousands of acres. The study you keep referencing has a ton of holes in it. Just read it, they tell you all about them. Now are you going to answer some of my questions, or just keep dancing around them? -

10000 is 1/6th of 60000. Close? -

Again, go read their stance on the subject. Again, you refer to one study that admittedly has a ton of holes in it. Far from "proven science" in my book. -

What part of the QDMA's stance on deer farming dont you understand? WesternNY has posted it up for you to see, its not some big secret lol. And guess what? WesternNY and any other QDMA member is allowed to have their own opinion of deer farms. Just because they are a member doesnt mean everyone falls in lock step with every little thing. Im sure many deer farmers would be quite embarrassed by the representation of the industry that you are making. -

Hey Mike Kerry, what about your claim of more deer farms than QDMA members? Can you pony up some real numbers to back that one up? -

He said you are delusional. Thats not name calling. You said Im a joke, thats the same thing as NYAntler saying you are delusional. Im sure I can go back and find more instances of you calling members things like that. Instead of arguing, why dont you just follow the rules and there will be no reason for me to ask you, or anyone else to do so. Dont like it, take it up with burmjohn. As soon as you answer a few of the questions Ive posed and have gone unanswered, Ill get right on that one. -

Who else was calling names? Im not sticking up for anyone, Im asking you to follow the rules, just like I do with anyone that breaks them. Typical reaction to it though, playing pariah. Spare me the drama. -

For such a young organization, the membership numbers are very good. Take a look at other similar organizations and where they were 25 years in. I think your numbers are way overstated. From what I can find, the number is around 10000. You mean the same deer farm industry that costs taxpayers millions each year? http://www.indystar.com/longform/news/investigations/2014/03/27/buck-fever-intro/6865031/ -

No they arent. Employees making paychecks do not constitute as a business making a profit. I suggest you at least use Google to find out some of the facts before you spout off on something you obviously have no clue about. Think what you want about the QDMA, they are growing at a fast rate. Membership over the last year or two has grown at a rate they have never seen before. They will most likely pass the 100,000 mark in the next couple/few years if trends continue. I base that off of real world numbers presented by the leadership of the organization, not what I read on some forums. The vast majority of members dont even use those forums. -

Just because an organization pays employees, doesnt mean they are not a not for profit organization. Some facts for you... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nonprofit_organization -

A few hundred bucks. Its wifi i think, so the range is a little limited. Ill see if i can find the details. No line of sight needed though.

My boss has a helo that he flies with an ipad. It has a camera on it and is simple to fly with just a few minutes practice. The new mulit rotor helos are really easy.

That would be funny

Im not doing anything out of spite. The guy didnt leave a just a note, it was a big ass cardboard sign. He was outside WHILE I was putting the stand up. Could he have come over and asked me about it? Yep. Did the other guy next door to him ask me about it? Yep, and he had no issue with it even said it would be a great spot to hunt as he alwas saw deer go through there. If he had come and asked, he would have discovered it was nothing but a practice stand at the time, as I knew it was too close for hunting with the setback rules. Is it in a good spot to hunt? Sure is, but I never considered it previously, and when the guy made a stink, I simply removed the stand so I didnt have to deal with an obviously obstinate neighbor. Now that the setback has changed, I will hunt it because I legally can. No spite there, what so ever. Just a little back story about this guy. I have had to say things to him on multiple occasions when he was in his yard shooting woodchucks in the adjacent field (which he had no permission to do so) while my father was on his tractor mowing the lawn less than 100 feet away from him, in front of his shooting position. Did I yell at the guy or anything like that? Nope, asked him to be mindful of people around him, and reminded him that he did not have permission to shoot onto the adjoining property. But ya know, a practice bow stand, where the arrows would always be shot the opposite direction from his property, was a problem.

If you honestly think my response was me flying off the handle, then you need to seriously rethink how you interpret things. Im am rarely in any type of a "pissed off position", especially on here. Doesnt surprise me too much, as you tend to take every little thing to the extreme. But ya know, think what you like....

Only one or two people have been suspended from the site for language, and it was in specific circumstances when they did it to fly in the face of being asked to stop multiple times. Stop trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
