I use a trigger stick with the 2 point cradle. Holds my AR perfectly, is very stable and extremely adjustable. The only down side is that you need one for standing and one for sitting down. You can use the 2 point cradle with either size.

No you cant, its just not feasible to take samples from as may deer as you would need to within a 30-40 mile radius. Theres not just dispersal to think about, but some bucks will travel long distances in the rut. I have trail cam pics of a buck that was very easily identifiable on the farm I hunt in Honeoye NY, and he was killed on a property in West Sparta, NY that very season. Those two areas are 15-20 miles apart. Take dispersal and then factor in deer traveling during the rut, and all of the genetic mixing that happens and the chances of ever matching at least 70% of bucks to where they were born would be so tiny that you may as well call it impossible, or at least improbable.

So there ya go. The vast majority of the time, you will not be able to track a buck down by his DNA because depending on the area, he traveled between 3-30 miles from his birthplace, and started spreading his genetic seed into a completely different herd. Its natures way of limiting in-breeding.

So Im just going to throw a turd into the punchbowl, which is going to screw up the whole theory about deer genetics staying static in a given area. Even more so than how far bucks travel during the rut. Ill do it in one word too. Dispersal. Look it up.

Im almost tempted to lock the thread, but I really enjoy watching people dig holes...

Not entirely. Sometimes Ill sit in the hardwoods. I usually sit closer to the field edges during the day. Depending on the spot sometimes you can see them coming through the woods, other times they just pop out onto the field edge to see whats going on. It really depends on the spot. I wont go sit or stand in the middle of a field like at night though, gotta have cover during the day and camo is more important.

Are you trying to howl during the day? If so, dont except right at dawn or dusk. Daytime calling is going to be all distress sounds, and a decoy like a fox jack or mojo critter is big. Keep the decoy and call about 50-60 yards in front of you. I like to hunt a cross wind, and I keep the call and decoy in the upwind direction, and pay close attention to its downwind direction. Its a whole different ballgame than night hunting.

My facepalm wasnt directed at you, believe me lol. Im with ya.

Its the same amount of work, I can just grab them quickly once I have the thinset on the wall instead of trying to fit them at that point. If you look at the pics, each wall is labeled with a letter and each section of tile has a designation on it (A1, A2, A3, etc) so that I know exactly which piece goes where. It worked out great.

I wanted to get the tile all up this weekend, but Saturday my girlfriend got antsy and started painting. She continued yesterday as well. I cant do tile with wet paint everywhere. I asked her why she didnt wait and her answer was "because she didnt want to wait". I just shook my head and went and cleaned some rifles.

Those pics were when I was pre-cutting the sections, so no adhesive. The tape was holding them up while I cut other sections.

If I was Using bigger tile I would Have used a saw as well.

I used the glass nips with the round blades. I didnt Have any issues with glass splinters or anything. I just Got the nips on the glass and scored it by moving the blades back and forth where I wanted To cut, then just cut and you get a nice even cut. Before I started Scoring them, I was Getting rounded cuts. Thanks, I think It’s turning out good so far.

If you zoom in on the pics where I was mocking it up you can see the stone tiles in it. They are mottled, like the counter tops.

It works and won’t freeze but it dry rots the tires eventually.

Yeah I’m glad I did It. It’s making it super easy now.

Shortly after we bought our house we decided that we wanted to paint the kitchen and put a backsplash in. After a lot of looking, we decided on a glass and stone tile backsplash that matched our cabinets and quartz counter tops. Last weekend I picked Up all the stuff and we got started. I went Through and cut all of the tiles and labeled them so I knew Right where they would go. Tonight I started Putting them up. I think It’s turning out great so far. Not too bad to do. It’s not completely perfect but it’s pretty darn close. I should Have it down pretty good by the time I finish

I read something a few weeks ago where they are also talking about allowing semi-auto rifles down there. People in the comments were losing their shit about it too. It made the baiting and crossbow threads on here look extremely tame in comparison. PA has some strange regs.
