    Since things seem to be a bit testy, I’ll try to lighten the mood. Sat the entry trail to the far side of my swamp this morning. At the same exact time, this dude is taking selfies on the near side of swamp closest to house. Less than 80 yards away, but no view between two points. I age him at 1 year 7 months 15 days 45 seconds and counting.... because I can’t seem to see a darn deer in the hoof!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Believe it or not, it’s more about the football. We just watched WVU (my alma mater) stomp TCU. Now we will watch Michigan (her alma mater) stomp Rutgers.     3 years ago, before I upgraded to my Matthews Z3, I was still using a 20 yr old Martin Jaguar with an old rest that was essentially a bottom arrow holder and a side arrow holder. First deer on the my new property. Mine. The property I dreamed of having to one day have this experience. I draw back, the arrow slips between the 2 springy arrow rest holders, and all you heard was ting ting ting ting of aluminum arrow.

    You guys are really good with the yote stuff. I just had to get down to go to work. Just stepped off ladder to leaves and jump a deer that was following the same path the coyote took. Sucks to get busted. Thought I was clear. On the way back to the house, I busted a buck and doe that were bedded in my swamp. Can’t wait till this afternoon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Just had a big coyote go by. Couldn’t get up and turned to my right fast enough. Damn they don’t stick around long. First one I’ve seen from stand. Usually I see them from house skirting across the field or on cam. Any chance I’ll see deer this am now with fresh predator scent here? The coyote checked a scrape on his way through.     HuntWise app said 4pm was best hunt time. Right at 4 a shooter came behind my stand looking for the hot bomb. Walked a direct line away from me down wind (wrong way). Full draw. Did a meh to get him to quarter and look back. He never even checked up. Walked behind brush and started to scrape. Now the neighbor is cutting corn. Great for me, just unfortunate timing.     About to climb down from my quick sit before work. Thought I’d share. My wife walked the dogs around 3pm yesterday. The dogs started to air scent. She saw the target buck for my property bed next to what she believes might be an early fawn from this year. Said Doe was really small. Anyway, they were in the hedgerow between out perimeter trail and the neighbor’s corn. The doe got up and stretched and meandered into the corn. The large buck then followed. She said they never spooked. They really must be used to seeing her walk the dogs. My question is.... when was seeking and chasing? He has her locked down already? Wtf!!!     I need to start sleeping in the stand again. I saw way more deer as a young kid when I would sleep in the stand. I always woke up to deer around me. Now I’m vigilant and not as successful lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    So how far do we think we are from the rut? I started seeing scrapes about 3 weeks ago. Now I am not seeing them being used. But I still have bucks on cam after hours. I also have found no rub lines this year. Is it the weather? Or my property? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Anyone ever spook does off your property? I tried a little buck bomb estrus near a scrape on Halloween. I believe it even says ok for pre-Rut. All my does are gone. I normally have them on multiple cams daily and now nothing. I still have buck movement. Mainly smaller bucks at 7pm and 5am. What did I do to my fawn generators??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
