    Obesity, in general, was a rarity back in those days cuz life was harder. A lot of those guys were better still hunters back then, too which is far more physically demanding then sitting in a tree stand.

    slight difference, at best, I'd say. Air density drops when colder so may have to give it an extra pump.

    Wow; any idea time of day? It never ceases to amaze me how they seem to just "know" when the seasons over and its ok to stroll around in daytime again.

    Al, do ever use any calls for Squirrels? Ive used the "rubbing the edge of 2 quarters" before to imitate feeding squirrels with limited success, but nothing else.

    Now that Deer seasons over and still feelin the need to kill somethin, Im looking forward to doin a little Squirrel hunting this month and next. Its easily been 10 years since I had a good squirrel stew!! HBU?

    Bad season for me ; only went hunting 3 times , all early am sits , out of the woods by 10-11:30 each time . Life changed for us back in June when GF's mid 20s son moved in. Kid doesnt have a car and since I work from home now, guess who got elected to pick him up from work every day lol. Hopefully, next year, hell have $ saved for his own vehicle so I can get my freedom back!! My New Years resolution is simple: Get back into the woods, starting with small game season in January!!

    I noticed that a couple of my old 50cal bullets are missing the little plastic green tip at the end of the bullet; can I still use them?

    I figured as much, and its up to the purchaser to clear their name and correct the record, right? The govt would rather that everyones disqualified from buying!!

    I agree and the thing is, this legislation can (and will) be abused ; probably already has been. Example: Say youre neighbor gets pissed at you and calls CSS , claiming you abused your kids (this actually happened to a friend of mine about 10-12 yrs ago). Now, the allegations were determined to be unfounded and everything was dropped, but would the report disqualify him from purchasing ammo under the new law?

    Me either; I was thinking that, in a a steady rain, you might have issues from the powder getting damp, but idk.

    When they run a check, what reason(s) might they have to deny you the purchase? Obviously, if you have felony convictions, I amgine, but what else? I'm afraid that this will be weaponized, in time, if it hasnt already; kinda like calling social services frivolously to report child abuse on your ex cuz youre mad at them. Like they say "the road to hell is paved with good intentions", sadly
