Most all the big bucks I ever got were in a snow squall or snow storm.Usually a quick there it is pull and shoot off hand shot.Luckily never missed and had single_shot kills.Give me a snow storm or heavy on and off squalls and I am in heaven.

I have a Hot Cold Champ that was my Grandfathers for years before it was handed on down to me,I have had it, seems like forever. It was made in R.O.K yeah,Korea. Stainless steel in and out.Best thermos I have used.I have an older all plastic wide mouth for soup and or coffee, but the Champ rules.

You may think this silly....but the wife has the same problem with the waking in the night and tingling in the hands and numb feeling....our Dr. told her to eat a raw carrot before bed and it works for her.She also visits the chiropractor atleast 1x a month, sometimes more.

Elmo...although you may be correct with the figures, there is a lot to take into concideration there besides head weight and rifle weight. For example: a Sako in 30-06 with a wood stock VS a Rem in wood stock.....stock design also makes a difference in many rifles. I have shot both of the cals,I own an older 700 Rem that has a SS BBL and is Magnaported and has a factory rubber pad.My late Dad had a 06 that was customized with a shorter BBL and ported. My 7mag was nicer to shoot, much easier on the shoulder with both being loaded with 150g heads. My point is,is that I think there are too many variables to really judge one from another in a Technical aspect. My 308 in Rem 700 was a shoulder beater, awful beating with 150g heads. At the range,I wanted no more after 3 shots. My 7mag I would shoot all day.

Depends on where you are sitting as to when you can actually see the sun setting...could be on a high spot over looking a large flat land,or could be sitting in a river bottom where the sun "sets" much sooner.I go by the actual time that is listed either way while hunting NY.In Pa,a half hour after sunset means you can see better with the scope/binos than you can with the nekkid eye.I highly doubt that there are many people sited for coming out of the woods in the dark. The ECO's have better things to police...poaching,baiting etc.

How long do you leave your powder and bullet in the gun
Single_shot replied to mark3885's topic in Muzzleloaders
I won't use it for hunting....just for a target. I learned my lesson and will always use fresh. A shame to just throw it in the burn ring. -

Silica jell....I have some of those packets.I should be able to put them in a ziploc with uncooked white rice then also. I was more worried about it being no good.Thanks. -
To me,about half as bad, although my 7mag is ported which tames it down more.

I have a PP acct. but would rather snail mail a check or MO. The PP fees just arent worth it.Not looking to make any $ here and trying to keep cost as low as possibe. If you don't mind them in a padded envelope (they could get bent) then I have no problem with that. Let me see what I can come up with as far as a $ amount. -

Will the pellets that got damp dry out ,so that they can atleast be shot at a target? Just asking...yeah i'm cheap. ~ -

I missed a buck and doe in less than 10sec because of damp 777 pellets during early ML. I hunted in rain but kept muzzle down and dry and figured I had done a good job at keeping everything dry. Not! When the time came to shoot, all I got was poof and not boom. I had time to quickly replace the primer after the buck walked by but then when the doe stood there looking at me,again, all there was, was a poof. I would say if you are in dry conditions, don't be too concerned with it.Raining damp ugly day....change it promptly and clean it thoroughly. I learned the hard way. -
AWSOME! Just in time for Halloween! I trust you went to the Dr......major infection and nerve damage in your future.Just cut it off already. Best wishes.

Free for the taking to the person(s) who post they will take it here in the thread first. You pay the USPS Flat Rate @$5.15 for the small flat rate box. If I don't give them away, the wife WILL recycle them. Some once fired, some reloaded once.If 1 person should want them all, they won't ALL fit in 1 small flat rate box, would have to be 2 boxes at $5.15/per. If someone wants just the 7mm Mauser casings, since there are only 10,I may be able to use the small padded envelope instead at a lower rate. The 25-06 need to be tumbled, they been sitting around for some time and are dark, but no colors...green etc, just dark. The rest are pretty good.Pics can be posted if need be. Here is what I have: 31) 7mm-Mag casings 10) 7mm Mauser casings 15) 25-06 casings

Shame on you for laying that fine rifle on stone. Gonna have one of them in a deer cal some day. NICE! -
I spent over a week at the cabin for ML and 2 days rife this year so far and only stayed in 1 morning because I felt I was still too fudged up from the night before.I did go out later in the day.But more than 1 day did I go out not feeling very well....asprin is my friend. As far as drinking in the woods during hunting....not on my land.
