Using the interactive map tool to zoom in where you want to http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/45415.html then read these for the rest of it http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/9338.html#WMU4A I'm guessing 4F,G or H. Not too good at this, hope it helps somehow.

I dunno.... 1) Find a strong yet plyable tree, climb it and tie a rope to the top.Hook said rope to truck bumper and pull it down as far as you can. Then tie it off with a quick detach.Hook a cable to the end and on the other, have a big net layed out on the ground.Camo it all up and when the deer walks on said net, pull the quick release. When air born netted deer gets done thrashing/swinging about, finish off with a claw hammer.

Best cloth to wipe down guns?
Single_shot replied to jimbo91's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
Outers makes a decent bore cleaner thats odorless. Never used it,so can't really comment as to how good it is.Sure others will chime in here with more exp on the matter. I use Hoppes forever, not one here to worry about weapons odor. I know there are other non odor brands out there that have great reviews though. I myself would like to try a foaming bore spray to see if I can really see a difference between Hoppes and it. -

A 100% cotton tee is fine ,the more you use it and the more oil soaked it gets (not meaning dripping wet) the better it gets. -

gravel/rock drive way question.. price? Otsego
Single_shot replied to Geno C's topic in General Chit Chat
I had mine up the cabin put in by Roy Olin out of Camden, did a great job ~$2700. Dug all the top out, some spots about 18" of it.He then brought about 9 loads of bank run.He also removed stumps that was included in the price. This last spring when it was at peak wet time,I did'nt have any soft spots, perfect. After we let it set for a year,we had him come back and deliver 5ton of what I call 1 B small stone,in the area where we walk the most....it's clean and easy to walk on.These old wore out ankles thank me for it . We roughed it in, in one weekend, then thinned it out how we wanted it the next. I don't have a current photo of it thinned out,but you get the idea. The bank run, although it was fine how it was after driving on it and packing it down, still had an uneven surface with goonies that I call ankle breakers here and there. It's very solid and I have no regrets with it.Probably overkill to some for a cabin, but now we can go there and not deal with mud and ruts every spring. I have his information, should you or anyone in that area want it.He covers a fairly large area. EDIT: The back hoe pic is a clickable video. -
Ain't that just frigged up,lmao.

O well,we tried.I'm sure the little man will like the new shiny one better anyway, lol. Your quite welcome.

Like already stated, use it in the back yard....but to add to that, also see how far away it will "really" pick you up on the sensor. Some say 30ft but when you walk just 25ft and jump up and down like an idiot in the woods,it won't always see you. Best to play around with it. Knowing how far it will really see will help also in the setup out in the stix. And that confounded goldenrod, that can really ruin a good day.

Same to you!

If you would opt for a used scope,I have a Tasco fixed 4x32 made in Japan#663A that has heavey duplex with fine center hairs, not in perfect condition, but not too far from it.I might even have the mounts/rings and screws for it. Just pay shipping.I may be able to send a pic or 2 if ya need to see it.

Some will, some may not......you know as well as I that some hold them sometimes through the whole season and some fall early. Weather across the entire NE region has been crazy this year and I would suspect they may hang on for quite some time. JMO Finding deer on SGL here can be done,I would even go as far as saying you could probably find a real nice buck on SGL if you find a big thick swamp and hunt the edges....was always my favorite and usually best producer. Good luck!

We have a town down here as well as you do up in NY called Nanticoke. We call it nannycook or nannacook -
That is partially correct.... That 8pt was the last day of the season, only buck seen all season and during the last minutes of legal shooting time, wouldn't you? If it would have been a little y buck,it would have went down just the same, just would'nt have been mounted. You won't hear me complain about not seeing/shooting monster buck.To me a legal kill is a legal kill and tastes the same. Now if a bruiser walks along, guess what...yep,bang flop.Makes no difference to me.Time in the woods and meat in the freezer. Hell I don't care if all I shoot is a big ole doe. Let's see if we can get them to change that season while we're at it? The doe have to be without young, have to be older than dirt and weigh x amount on the hoof.Yeah it's silly....just like AR. JMO

AR sucks. I would sell my cabin if they went that way.Period. They did that crap here in Pa and it works just fine to produce bigger racks....if your one of those rack hunters. I hunt to fill the freezer and get out in the woods. Size of bone on the head makes no nevermind...I have a big 8 mounted and more laying around.Cost too much to mount them anymore. Limit me to 1 buck is fine if it would happen.

My take on this,is it is a county issue? Here is an older article. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/18/nyregion/westchester/18deerwe.html

Since the fire co. was already there, they could have put it out and billed the owner(s)...the pets did not have to die, because of a stupid $75 fee. That's like falling from your tree stand and when you get to the hospital, they tell you they can't pull the knife out of your gut because your boss didnt pay the insurance.
