  1. Little photo shoot for my new business cards...
  2. Shoot a big one and we'll figure it out...
  3. Well, my wife has been wanting another bow after not having one for a couple of years now. Thanks to a sweet deal from a friend of mine, she ended up getting her bow on saturday: 2017 Bowtech Eva Shockey SS...26" draw, 52#. After only shooting for a day she sent me her first group of the day at 20yds. I may have made a huge mistake...I'd better kill a buck early or I'll be looking for a babysitter so I can hunt!!! Lol.
  4. I remember him on the Stern show...lol!
  5. I'm not holding out...first 3.5 that tempts his fate will likely be in trouble!
  6. There he is!!! Looks like the new antlers are about done growing now...just a little bulby at the tips .
  7. Must be an injury. I usually see the first hardhorned bucks at the end of August with a majority rubbing out during the first 10 days of Sept. Won't be long!!!
  8. 40yds with the new Xpedition..
  9. Unless I have history with a deer I have trouble aging them on the hoof, particularly in the summer. He's a shooter any way you look at it!
  10. I saw a stud last night at the property that I've taken my last two bow bucks. Pretty certain he had a droptine too. I can't wait to lay eyes on him again!!!
  11. The 10 pt looks like he may actually be 6x5 with some good potential for next year. I hate small brows...so I'd get rid of the tall 8...lol.
  12. Honestly, of the three properties that I'm concentrating on...this one has the weakest buck crop this year. Most of the bigger ones from last year are MIA. That being said, I'll take the first 3.5 buck gives me an opportunity!
  13. The shooters are all 3 year olds that I know from last year. Plenty of "meat deer" too...
  14. I've been trying to get this trio of shooters on cam for several weeks. Finally, I found a killer set up at the corner of a corn/clover field where there's been a ton of deer action and the new Browning Strike Force Pro caught the boys going back to bed the other morning...
  15. Don't stalk me...all the big boys are at Biz's!
  16. Oh yeah, I remember him. He's a beauty. Seems to like to move in daylight. Good luck with him!
  17. Unfortunately you'll be carrying a Mathews. You'd better off trying to spear a buck by throwing arrows at them!!!
  18. He's too old and chewy for my taste. I'd pass on him for a tender "meat deer" any day.
  19. You still have the record for ticks! Speaking of ticks, think I need to help this guy with some tick removal...hypodermic style!!!
  20. Bucks can be much more patternable in early season if you are on the right food source. If you are getting good daylight activity on cams through sept. it might be worth a shot. Past two years I've punched my tag on 10/15 and 10/2 and have high hopes to repeat again this year. Plus, early season mounts are much prettier than during gun season...
