I'm serious. City people think putnam county is the stix because we have no street lights, etc. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2

I don't live in the city, if that was your point. He said he works for a top 5 company. There are only 5 in the top 5, so why not just come out and say it. Walmart, Mobil, Chevron, whoever else makes up the top 5. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2

I'm happy to see variety of bucks. Again this thread wasn't about what I should or shouldn't shoot. A 6pt would be my 2nd biggest whitetail. I got 2 buck tags, 3 if I buy my gun license....ill do what I feel is best. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2

I grew up in the stix, according to many city people. I grew up in Putnam County. I too, am successful. Can I join this thread? By the way, what top 5 company in the world is in Wayne County? Mobil, Walmart.... Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2

I'm all for the xbow in NY, but not against breaking the law to hunt. I'll hunt with my xbow in other states until NY allows it again. If your handicapped, just gun hunt in NY this year. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2

Id rather 6 pt young bucks than 12" spikes lol Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2

Id be too worried the worms have a soap scent. I don't even wash my hands or get gas before fishing in fear of scent Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2

Maybe some of the 4's and 5's are 2.5 and not 1.5? Or I'm just missing the older bucks? One thing to note is that I have zero pics of fawns in CT and barely any Doe pics. Almost all my pics are these various young bucks. Also, the landowner is cutting trees down and working literally like 200 yards from this cam. Up on a hill. This cam is in like a creek bottom almost. Where I plan to sit is a rock cliff, almost like being in a treeatand, its a 15' straight down drop to where these deer are. 17-35 yard shot. Regarding waiting 2-3 years, no guarantee I will be allowed to hunt this property then. The house is for sale. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2

Danny, thanks for the efforts! For some reason when I send myself the pics and view them on my phone I can zoom and keep the clarity, but never on a computer.

True, but since I know there are multiple bucks, I'd like to hold out for the biggest. I am trying to figure out if this buck is the same buck that I got pics of earlier in the summer.

Guys, I just wanted help zooming in on the pic. I know these bucks aren't monsters. Phade - I have spoked with a guy who hunts the land nearby and actually used to hunt the land I am hunting years ago when it was owned by someone else. He showed me some really nice bucks on his wall from this piece of property. He said about 5-6 years ago there were many 120"+ deer, with a few over 140". Due to the deer population being so high in this area of CT, nearby landowners have begun to allow hunters hunt their property for big $. He said guys are shooting young 8's and 10's and the big bucks he used to see, he just doesnt see anymore. Of course, there is still a chance one walks by. He gave me a suggestion as to where to put a 2nd cam (about 150 yards from this cam), I put one there and will check it opening day around lunch time. Although, I have traveled around U.S. and Canada and shot some really nice animals, I have only killed 6 whitetail bucks in my life. A basket 8, 2 4's, a 3, and 2 spikes. Where I hunt in NY (Putnam County - 3N), it's a good year to see 2 or 3 different bucks in one given year. Any 8 pointer is a trophy, so I am very happy to get this access in CT where I have pics of many different bucks. 2 buck tags is nice too.

No, that is his antler. He's at least a 5, I was just curious if somebody could zoom it for me. Regarding "Personally I would pick a different location, doesn't seem like you have anything decent on the cam after weeks of being out". The Cam was out there for 3 weeks in a place I never hunted. Getting 7-8 different bucks on cam is more than "decent" to me. Season starts 9/16, I'm not going back before opening day just to move a cam around and walk around. I want to shoot a buck opening day, not spread my scent around just for a cam location change. I added a 2nd cam nearby, I'll check that opening day. But this isn't about the bucks in the area, its about this 1 picture only.

For some reason it takes the 432kb file and makes it 96kb?
-
Attached is a 432KB file, is this better to work with?
-
How can I give somebody a higher resolution picture? On my cell phone I can zoom and it stays clear.
-
Can one of you photoshop/zoom experts help me out? Everytime I zoom on this picture, I lose the clarity. I am trying to see if this CT buck is a 5, a 6, or more points. Thanks in advance.

While everybody fights until 10/1.....I will be hunting starting 9/16!!!!!

Is anyone else having difficulty finding an open course?

Plenty of options in westchester and putnam counties. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2 -
The champ is here! First post on this topic. What's best for an xbow wb or drop away? Lastly, everyone settle down. You didn't miss the Ambit Energy boom yet. Only 3% of NYers have it! Larry, are youuuuuuuuu ready to join the cult? http://ThomasLevy.energy526.com

She probably just used a digital camera to view the pics, then hit delete all and put the card back in. I always check my cams with my digital camera. It's quick n easy. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
