  1. I was approved by a moderator to post here. This is 100% legal. I will try to keep this as short as possible...... I am a consultant for Ambit Energy. For those of you who are unaware, energy in New York State has been deregulated. This means you can choose who to buy your energy from. Your electric provider (ConEd, NYSEG, RGE, Central Hudson, National Grid, etc.) stays the same. They will still bill you and you will still pay them. The only change is the savings on the energy portion of your bill. How to save $ ? If you are interested in becoming a customer, it is 100% free to sign up and you are guaranteed to save $ on your energy portion of your electric bill. They also throw in a 2 night hotel stay for free for signing up. Pretty much all of New York state can make the switch, see here > http://ww2.ambitenergy.com/rates-and-plans/service-areas/new-york-energy-providers If you want to switch for free and save $, please let me know. The only info I need to sign you up is the name on your electric bill account, address, account #, a contact phone # and contact email address. THERE IS NO REASON WHY YOU SHOULDN'T BE A CUSTOMER. How to earn $ ? If you are interested in becoming a consultant like me, check out my website http://thomaslevy.myambit.com/start-a-business/energy-526 You can get free energy by getting 15 customers to sign up. If you get 20 customers to sign up you can earn residual income each month. Of course, getting consultants to sign up under you who get their own customers add to your downline and increase your monthly residual check. Being an Ambit Consultant is an easy way to make $ on the side. The amount of $ you make will depend on how much effort you put in. Many people fail, some make a few hundred a month, some make thousands a month, and a few makes millions a year. I'm in it for the free energy and some easy extra $ each month from residuals. If you disagree with Ambit, that's fine, but please do not post on this thread. Keep your negative thoughts to yourself. Thanks, Tommy

    big buck?

I don't bowhunt, so I can't hunt Westchester. Regarding your other comments, that is how I hunt. I get a buck almost every single year, just nothing giant yet. My Dad has several over 100" from Putnam County. He hunts more than me though, he hunts for 30 minutes before work, etc....That's not feasible for me.

    big buck?

I hear ya and maybe when xbow is allowed and I have 2 buck tags....but even still I can't justify spending say $50K+ for land I hunt on weekends only. I wouldn't want to drive a couple of hours each way everytime I hunt. It's a bad investment. Id rather spend the $50K on 10 hunting trips to other states OR pay someone $ for access to hunt their land in NY for a few days. Grow - $500 for a weekend? Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2

    big buck?

I'm engaged and hate riding the train longer than 30 minutes, so ill be in Westchester for a while. I wouldn't move to upstate NY just for a chance at 1 bigger buck per year lol. If I was going to move upstate, I would rather move to another state that has a variety of big game. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2

    big buck?

+1. I've never shot a 100" whitetail, never seen one in the woods or gotten a trail cam pic of one. You better believe I'm going to be pretty pumped up if I ever shoot one. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  6. This pic was posted on another site by a guy I personally know. He drove by this roadkill in Putnam County. Face looks like coyote, but hair coat is nothing I've seen before. I've seen pics of black and blonde yotes, but not red like this... Thoughts? ? Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2

  9. No, you cannot carry your side arm. You will be forced to fend off, whatever it is you are afraid of, with your bare hands.
  10. The spray is my last line of scent proof. All clothes are washed scent free and stored in bins. I shower scent free, don't eat or drink stinky stuff, brush my teeth with scent free toothpaste, etc. I can't cover my natural human scent 100%, but I believe there is a difference between my smell and the guy who wears cologne and drinks coffee and washes his clothes with fresh linen scent. I've had deer eating the bushes I'm sitting against. I always sit on the ground and have had many encounters with deer at arms reach. I'm sure it helps that I don't move much, but I think scent free helps too. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  11. They had trail cameras in 1893? Why are those people dressed so weird. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  12. I have never used a scent lure, don't care to try it. Only thing I use is scent free spray on my clothes, etc.
  13. I have a Black "Rhino Lid Cam" for sale. It works great when I practiced with it a few times. During an actual hunt, I am always afraid to reach up to my hat to turn it on since I hunt from the ground. https://rhinoutdoors.com/product-details.php?prodid=13 It's like brand new and works great. I paid $149 + tax + shipping for it about a year and a half ago. $75 + shipping. I'm not familiar with shipping stuff, so I don't know how much it would cost to ship?
  14. Awesome Bucks guys....Belo - What's up with the weird faces? lol
  15. By the way, I didn't hunt in blue lol. I was in a blaze orange coat to match by blaze orange pants. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  16. Not sure if this forum ever had this topic before. With the season approaching, lets see a PICTURE of everybodys biggest NY buck. Stories with no pics, need not apply. Non NY bucks, need not apply. Here's mine. Opening day of gun season 2007, first light. Putnam County (3N). Basket 8. Never measured him, but I would guess he's like 80" or so? No clue. Sorry for quality, its a pic of a pic. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  17. how do you know where I am hunting? LOLSent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
  18. Sam - Cool Buck! Hope that reindeer stumbles in front of me on 9/16, I'll take him!
  19. Hunting Putnam County (3N) with just my 1 buck tag (shotgun), if I got a trail cam pic of a 8+ pointer that was over 100", I wouldn't shoot anything smaller than that deer, but I would shoot something close to it. Now if I had a pic of something rare for my area like 140"+, I probably wouldn't shoot any buck unless something very close showed up out of nowhere.
