Like I said, how would I know that is a backyard? The trail cam could have been attached to the tree in which he will be sitting come 10/1. He said he hopes to shoot this deer, so I figured his camera was where he hunts. Most people put their cameras somewhere near where they plan to hunt. Every single year there are lots of people in NY who get fined for "pre-established bait piles", look it up. If the OP was going to make a bait pile with these apples and hunt over it, he would be fined. END OF STORY.

$20 says I never called it in. I could care less if he cheats or not, too far away to affect my deer hunting season.

I was just stating the laws. He can't hunt over those hand-placed apples. How was I supposed to know it was a backyard and not a huntable area?

From everything I read on Bowsite, Crossbows are now approved for everybody during archery season (9/16-12/31) in CT! Guess I got my special permit for nothing, lol. Next up New York ? ?

I've heard of a 10 pointer they put on dec lands in putnam county. There are a couple pieces of land you can't shoot any bucks the first 2 days of gun season. They put the 10pt and guys shoot it lol. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2

Let's be serious, it's never going to happen in our lifetimes. But if it did, I would buy a couple of dogs from outwest. Then land-wise, there would be tons of farmer's looking for people to come in and get rid of lions who are eating their livestock.

I've never been into Turkey hunting, so I have never shot a turkey in my life. CT deer season starts 9/16, so does fall turkey season (2 either sex). I have been getting turkey on my trail camera where I plan to hunt deer. If the shot presents itself while I am deer hunting, I think I might shoot one with my xbow depending on how much work it is to get the turkey ready for the table. Of course, I will begin to research how to butcher a turkey, but I figured I would post this and see some of your methods after harvesting a turkey. Thanks!
