Do you mean after dark? If so, a few guys I hunted with in PA did a coyote call. If darkness came and deer were in the plots, they would do a coyote howl and the deer would scatter. Then they would get out of the tree and walk out. The next night the deer were back in the plot.

Tons of hogs in upstate and western NY. Just hit up any local bar/tavern. The farther away from NYC you get, the less teeth the girls have.

Putnam County is less than 30 minutes from most of these places and has much bigger tracts of land. Shotgun and Bow only.

I have no clue....you don't need one for Putnam, just a DEP Access Permit.

Normal hunting license requirements, etc. You also need a DEP access Permit, which is 100% free....same permit for fishing the NYC reservoirs located westerchester/putnam counties.

Cool. Thanks for the info. In a couple of weeks I pull the card on my trail cam in Putnam County. First time ever putting 1 out there. Would be cool to a see buck that breaks 100"! lol

He said it will be long gone before hunting season, just using it for pics. He would have said, this pic isn't from NY. He should just man-up and do things the legal way. Put a cam on a trail and hope for the best.

Was playing golf on Sunday in Somers, NY (Westchester County) and saw some deer, so I snapped a few pics on my cell phone. Isn't the fawn pretty small for this time of the year? Also, notice the 1.5 year old spike has 1 of his spikes broken. It was just folded over and laying on his face. I assume it will fall off when the velvet is gone?

The only access we have to private land is 8 acres. My Dad wouldn't let her come anyway, 3 people is 1 too many.
