  1. It’s the son (jr) that does it from his house. Lowell (sr) owns Double L. He a close friend of my father in law.
  2. He was prolly at his golden desk drawing up “safe act 2.5 - assault vehicle ban.” The fn idiot in NYC jumped out with a air pistol and paint gun. YEP, those will be banned next.
  3. Supposedly in the shooter sports job, the perp went directly to the glock case and did a smash and grab on three 9’s and two 40’s then disappeared into the night. I’m not a huge fan of those guys. They always seem to have a piss poor attitude. The guys over at target sports are great and I do feel bad for the amount of govt BS they will have to eat in the future. The morning after the target job, the words insurance fraud did come outta my mouth but then I said “nahhh, not them.” BUT..... you never know.
  4. OMFG.... I know right????? When gander mountain was selling off at 50,60, and 70% off, it was because they marked everything up 150 to 200% to start. I shopped the Plattsburgh store 30 or so times. A normal priced box of UMC 9mm for like $10 was on sale for $24 from $30. I asked the “are you FN kidding me” question a few times. The day they finally shut the doors, I did make out like a bandit. Diamond bow for my daughter, bow stabilizer, climber stand add ons, RCBS rock chucker kit, 3 sets of Rage broad heads, and other stuff....... Paid less than $150.
  5. I’m gonna guess that this isn’t the first kind of this post?!?!?
  6. WNY..... you would really blow your lid if you looked at the news article and then referenced what he said in his original post. Either he just posted at half cock or has no idea what he’s talking about........ or as you said, just hit the glass.
  7. Still very sad BUT.... I feel either speed or lack of knowledge being the major factor causing a loss of control AND other than side by sides, every ATV I’ve owned or looked at say “no passengers.” Im very much not trying to start an argument but I just can’t rationalize blaming a deer that a hunter let pass.
  8. Having a 12 year old daughter myself, to think about an accident you referred too makes me shutter...... BUTTTT -why was the girl operating the ATV at a speed where she was not able to brake or control it upon a meeting with a dear? -are you/we going to blame the person who was possibly gonna purchase the ATV before her family but didn’t? -are you/we going to blame the ATV company for building the machine? I can add a ton of these quips especially with all the national shootings we have had. Bottom line is, people need to start focusing the responsibilities on the accident/catastrophe itself. The girl passing is very sad. That is no reason to push the taking of EVERY deer or animal that you see. How bout we just outlaw ATVs, cars, guns, cigarettes, alcohol, knives?????
  9. He’s right next to superior storage. Really good guy. He was cranking em out last year at this time. I’ve only seen like 2 hanging at his place this year so far.
  10. No prob Rob. Hopefully this helps if anyone else is in the neighborhood.
  11. There’s a guy that does processing out of his home on Rt. 20 in duanesburg. His family are butchers and he’s been learning since a kid. His name is Lowell. I talked to him last season and he said $80. He will do sausage with fats, seasoning, etc..... let me know and I’ll get you an address if you need.
  12. Lol... Sorry TACC. Yahhhh the action in the woods I can't even begin to comment on...... seeing all these squirrels run about are really blowing my mind lolol. Hope you caught the humor in that. I didn't even notice the date until you said something. Rookie mistake lol.
  13. I didn't see the "most of it" part. Definitely have them go to urgent care if the head is still imbedded.
  14. Yahhhh that's good advice. If he wants to take a very slight gamble, have him run to a drug store to buy the "tick twister" took. Safest way to remove. Its hard with the powesian. Normally I'd say call it a day after but there's a HUGE "what if."
  15. Very much agree. I can't guarantee it was the same one. All I have to go by was pictures I took as it was grazing. It was also a deep brown and small. I asked him the same question in regards to why I'd call, and his only replay was that it wasn't his first day on the job. "Odd" is and understatement. How do you think I felt? I legitimately thought it was gonna be a five minute phone call with worse case scenario the ECO asking if I could show him where I found it. NOPE.... not even close.
  16. I'll take one more swing at the poor dead horse lol. This is from the current online NYDEC regulations. Go ahead and toss that tag in your bag BUT don't lose ur bag lol jkjk.
  17. I just found a old post on here in 2010 that addresses it also. The guys back then said the same. I don't know if the law has changed though.
  18. I've read in the past, norther zone hunters and catskill hunters do not have to display back tags. The MUST be in possession but not displayed on center or back.
  19. I know this is a very old post BUT are you still looking???
  20. I am also a land owner and I want to say cudos to you sir. I wish there were more people like you. At some point this whole state will be posted except for state land which will be over ran. Land owners who are willing to share available private property should all patted on the back.
  21. Land... I most definitely understand where you coming from BUT not even close to what occurred. Not gonna repost bits of the conversation but what should have happened was him taking the information I was willing to provide and take notes if necessary. He already had my name and phone #. If at that point I became a person of interest, he had my first and last name and seeing as how my first and last name will only yield one result through all 50 states via NCIC I think it would be safe to say he would be able to locate me. He yielded not one spec of professionalism. He started yelling like a side street thug about ready to engage in a bar fight. He spoke like a telephone tough guy from that show Jersey Shore. A civilian made four attempts to phone in a tip like requested in the field book and by the end of a returned phone call was accused of 5 or so crimes and was threatened to be arrested for even entering ANY spot in a 697 acre forest. I did a little research about this guy. He's been in the NYDEC since 02. That's 15 years as a badge and gun carrying officer of the law. If I wanted to take the time, I could make it well known to the surrounding community that this guy is investigating the area for poaching, growing marijuana, illegal dumping. That's this guys quoted "four year investigation." I'm not his captain or lieutenant, but if there is any shred of truth to a word he was sputtering, he could have blown hundreds of thousands in tax payers revenue for this so called investigation. Like I told him, I'm gonna think long and hard before I ever phone in a tip again and I'll paint the picture of..... hurt and suffering animal on the side of the road, poaching in hunting or fishing, trespassing, illegal dumping, environmental hazards, etc...... Hope he feels accomplished.
  22. Apexer... be careful in Saratoga county. That's where all the cases of powesian are showing up.
