I actually have experimented with this to light my bbq when I had no bbq fuel and no really dry wood around adding cooking oil gives you the slow burn to be able to heat up sticks charcoal wood what ever is in there even when it is damp wood. I believe this mixture or version of it has been used against tanks by insurgents in the past . Actually just the cooking oil soaked in paper and small sticks will work . Dump or soak a bunch of small sticks and paper in just cooking oil and it will burn long enough to get it going at least that has been my experience with the stuff on bbqs with wood and charcoal. Best part cooking oil is not toxic can be stored in just a zip lock any plastic container unlike other fuels that you have to watch out for . I started my bbq on the 4th this way it works . Just another option to think about if you got nothing else around to work with .

Nice rob !! I to went on a nice hike the other day fighting a cold but I managed to go out anyway. A few pictures this hidden gem of a park is one of the few places you can hike close to the long island sound deer are often spotted crossing to and from long island from here . There is patch of bamboo here that you will find no place else in the state.

Na on public land that I like to hunt not enough deer around to take chances with something like that to small of caliber . Besides I don't think there even that accurate . Anyway since you no more then me and love to remind me of this fact often what bullet would you recommend for trying that kind of shot ?

Yea well the thing is, is that gun and caliber accurate enough and powerful enough to get a clean kill on a deer at that range consistently with a neck shot . I don't know . Anyone here have any experience doing shots like that with pistol calibers at that range .

So I walked in my local gun store the other day and they had one of those ruger 9mm carbines in the store kind of cool, I told the guy wish they had that in a more powerful caliber because I would love to hunt with something like that but not in a under powered caliber like 9 mm . Thinking 44 mag at least . So he goes on to tell me he knows this guy that uses it says he only takes neck shots with it said he has dropped deer out to about 70 80 yards with his more then once with no problem. Ok was this guy bullshitting me just to try and sell me that thing ? or do you think that story was true ? What do you think .

Exactly why it's a fun sport to play that all you need is a ball ,people grew up with it and naturally they like to see who is the best at it on tv .

I don't know never met anybody who went on a high fence hunt have no idea just speculating why they do it . I rather just hunt different public land but I like hiking to . Not just hunting so it works out great for me even if I get shit . I got family that went to the trouble of buying land upstate just for hunting I get invited every year usually don't bother nothing big ever comes off there property anyway then they get kinda pissed when you shoot the only buck that is there .

Hey if you like to hunt have the cash but don't have the time to put in buying and working the land or maybe you did but now you are older and don't have the ability to do it any more and still want to be in the game why not . I would imagine four season costumer base are older folks for what ever reason at a certain age some people just don't want to deal with the hassle of buying there own land and all the headaches that come with it . Nothing wrong with it in my book .

Let me play devil's advocate here . This is true but what if the fence is 1 2 3 4 5 or 10 or more square miles . I think I saw a study that shows deer spend most there life's in a area no more then 1 square mile . So somebody can work the land put in food plots good habitat for deer and even with out a high fence get good results if they have a big enough amount of land to work with .

Exactly don't you find it strange that USA is so great at womens soccer when in mens soccer we kinda of suck compared to the rest of the world? it is becuase nobody actually plays or follows womens soccer in latin America or Europe or any place outside the USA lol

Here is another idea if you just don't want to go out and buy special stuff for making fire . Everyone has cooking oil and paper in there house right ? You can get a zip lock bag and soak a few sheets of papper in the cooking oil when hit with a flame it will burn nice and easy for you long enough to get a bigger fire going . I do this to light the wood or charcoal in my bbq sometimes when I run out of lighter fluid . Works like a charm and could be adapted to a survival kit with a ziplock bag . And you don't have to worry if it breaks open cooking oil is not toxic last time I checked .

Womens soccer is about as popular around the world as curling They should be counting there blessings that they are getting paid at all for doing something they love . Instead of making a circus out of it .

I have no interest in watching womens soccer and even less now but if they want to shoot themselves in the foot and drive that league into bankruptcy with a lawsuit. Ok by me, the I'm a victim stick only works so far .
