Hunting's Infighting & Fewer Hunters will end all hunting
Hunter007 replied to Rattler's topic in General Chit Chat
Out of desperation they will be hunting rats probably in the city's !! All I know is you can't feed millions of people with out cheap fossil fuels, the farmers of today are dependent on it there is no way you would be able to truck in food to places like NYC with out gasoline powered trucks from 100s of miles away . You need cheap energy to do that . People in the citys will be starving probably hunting rats and anything else to stay alive . The green new deal people are even against nuclear power and hydroelectric power . Wind and solar not enough too expensive to work right for everything we need to power in this country. It would be a disaster. -
Hunting's Infighting & Fewer Hunters will end all hunting
Hunter007 replied to Rattler's topic in General Chit Chat
Actually if the socialist take over this country and they do manage to pass the green new deal . You will see more people hunting again because the green new deal and socialism will cause starvation poverty in this country a Depression and once again people will be forced to hunt for food or starve like in the past . I believe Hunting is down because its relatively easy to buy food and the food is less expensive now compare two peoples income, then in years past . -

Pelosi says impeaching Trump 'just not worth it' https://www.google.com/amp/s/thehill.com/homenews/house/433547-pelosi-says-impeaching-trump-just-not-worth-it%3famp I guess they are hoping people are dumb enough to forget all the fake news disinformation and fake investigations that they have been doing against him for the past 2 years .

Food plots on public land
Hunter007 replied to Northcountryman's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Anyone have a idea how likely those food plot seeds will grow on a forest floor with out doing anything else to the land? I think it may be more trouble then it's worth with no guarantee that it will Even grow. -

Hunting Crows In The Woods?
Hunter007 replied to DirtTime's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
There's a list of invasive species / unprotected species on dec website if you want to have some fun with a gun and help out DEC get rid of these pests in are woods . The few unprotected species include porcupine, red squirrel, woodchuck, English sparrow, starling, rock pigeon, and monk parakeet. Unprotected species may be taken at any time without limit. A hunting license is required to hunt unprotected wildlife with a bow, crossbow, or firearm. -
Maybe if it's that or starvation. Besides that I don't think that will be catching on any time soon even if that AOC chick said it was good for the environment would it sell .

Nope I'm low rank here that is between you guys I'm staying out of it this time . I already got high blood pressure as it is I'm trying to get down. I will say this if deer need to be taken out fast for safety reasons in a area I don't see what is a faster way then law enforcement doing it since they can get there hands on specialized equipment silencers and Such to hunt at night bait do what ever it takes, which a hunter is not allowed to do . or if possible let the hunters have there shot in the day and law enforcement do there thing at night .

There are lots of places that don't want hunters near there homes . But they will trust the cops to do the job of getting rid of deer near there homes . Some people especially in wealthy suburb areas , They don't like seeing anyone except a cop With a weapon in there hands . Definitely hunting could be just as effective as cops at doing that . Just for the fact there are many more hunters . I really don't like saying this but Some people just don't like hunters or trust them , big reason I wish i had a take down hunting rifle that fits in a pack just so I can go in and out of the parking lot at some of the locations I hunt with out getting the occasional dirty look from a jogger ,hiker or neighbor when walking from the car to the woods with a weapon . It is what it is .

If you mean USDA they use suppress 243-caliber bolt guns with a trigger jobs all shots are head and neck They use frangible ammo designed to break apart on impact and not go through the game . Full disclaimer I'm no expert

Prod great gun made in NY got to love that !!

I believe this happens more then we know by local governments all over with out the public knowing . I can think of at least 2 parks that were full of deer and all at once they disappeared. After complaints from homeowners in the area. There is no hunting in those places so where did they all go ? And it is very suspicious they all magically disappeared right after a lot of homeowners complained about them being there.

No thanks , and I don't think you are going to find one easily even if you wanted to shoot it .
-
They did that in one of the Westchester parks few years back . Rather then let bow hunters do it . https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.lohud.com/amp/4359907
