  1. They aren't "hunting" & I would think they will use other methods that wouldn't be considered legal for "hunting".
  2. Dumba$$ cap doesn't even open the bolt when he picks up the weapon. Here's another example of open carry rights, but this time it's an air rifle.
  3. Open carry in America. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvW_zBvJlsA
  4. You mean after all the bullet holes from 50 cal Browning M2s & drone strikes are over & the place looks like an "urban" area in Iraq?
  5. I like Port Orford cedar with about 520gr raw shaft weight.
  6. I guess the next time the cops shoot an unarmed black man, the local black community should heavily arm themselves & "peacefully" take over a city park.
  7. Well, if the ranchers don't' support them, the Piutes sure as hell don't support them, the locals don't support them, the county is running up a bill for all of the expenses, (which given Bundy's dead beat heritage will never be paid) what sort of delusional thought process gave them such a Messiah complex? Brings to mine the expression; "He's a legend in his own mind"!
  8. They used to put him in charge of "security" at the rendezvous. I read an account of him killing a man with a blow to the back of the neck crushing his vertebrae. They also call him "Liver eating Johnson", the Crows called him "The Liver Eater".
  9. Have you ever heard the episode he had with the hostile natives? He goaded them into releasing him barefoot for a foot race with a head start then all the young braves took off after him. If I remember correctly, he outdistanced all but one, then turned on him & took him out of the action. He then hid in water under some driftwood with a reed (or something) for a breathing tube until they gave up on him. Have you read "Lewis & Clark: The Journey of the C orp of Discovery"?
  10. Anyone that has seen either movie should do some research on Hugh Glass. His survival of the grizzly attack wasn't his only miraculous escape from death. There was another instance of his escaping hostile native Americans & walking through the wilderness for many, many miles to Fort Kiowa.
  11. 'Man in the Wilderness" was based on Hugh Glass. Having read some historic accounts about Hugh Glass after that movies premiered, I recognized a lot of scenes from "Man in the Wilderness" that were based on actual accounts of his ordeal. I googled MOVIES BASED ON HUGH GLASS to see if "The Revenant" was such & both movies came up.
  12. Did I miss something? I didn't see anyone but you frying to lump every rancher in with these lunatics.
  13. Here is a condensed version of the story of HUGH GLASS.
  14. It's all coming back to the "rights" (greed) of the REICH. They're only interested in their own "freedoms", to hell with everyone else. They want to take the land from the people of the United States (government) and divvy it up among themselves & whomever THEY deem worthy. It's a land grab effort pure & simple. ANYONE that depends on "public" land for hunting should be watching this debacle with concern for their rights to public access.
  15. From what I saw in the trailers it looked like the story of HUGH GLASS. "Man in the Wilderness" was the 1st one. Here is AN ARTICLE from "The American Rifleman".
  16. I can remember cottontails with "warbles" when I was very young in the mid '50s. Later, when I was hunting squirrels in S. Indiana in the '80s & '90s I saw a few grays with them, but never any fox squirrels. That is what made me believe that the tougher hide of the fox squirrels kept the flies from burrowing "in" when the opposite might have been the case with the larvae burrowing "out".. In all those cases, one could see a gray grub like worm. I still skinned the grays & found no evidence of the grubs in the meat, just the skin.
  17. I have a couple of racks with bot fly holes. I too thought they laid the eggs in the velvet, but yes they are intestinal in origin. I googled "botfly holes in antlers" & found THIS ARTICLE.
  18. My Brittany used to point Snowshoes. You could tell when he had a snowshoe pinned down as he would stick his nose right onto the brush pile just a foot or so from the hare. I wouldn't let him chase though.
  19. As a matter of fact I did & I responded as below. Here is the language in question. Cut & pasted from that link. "The narrowest conception, which can be called the proprietary theory, maintains that the Property Clause simply allows Congress to act as an ordinary owner of land. It can set policy regarding whether such lands will be sold or retained and, if they are retained, who may enter these lands and for what purposes."
  20. There seems to be something affecting the brains of conservatives as they have horrible reading comprehension.
  21. And it seems that conservative apply the same logic to T-Rump.
