  1. Why don't we get back to the "welfare ranchers" & their "support" of the Hammonds. How many have read the transcript of the testimony at their trials in the PDF link I posted?
  2. Here's a "delusional conservative chicken" for you. Interviewer: How did you get out of the draft? Ted Nugent: "Ted was a young boy, appearing to be a hippie but quite opposite in fact, working hard and playing hard, playing rock and roll like a deviant. People would question my sanity, I played so much. So I got my notice to be in the draft. Do you think I was gonna lay down my guitar and go play army? Give me a break! I was busy doin' it to it. I had a career Jack. If I was walkin' around, hippying down, getting' loaded and pickin' my ass like your common curs, I'd say "Hey yeah, go in the army. Beats the poop out of scuffin' around in the gutters." But I wasn't a gutter dog. I was a hard workin', mother****in' rock and roll musician. I got my physical notice 30 days prior to. Well, on that day I ceased cleansing my body. No more brushing my teeth, no more washing my hair, no baths, no soap, no water. Thirty days of debris build. I stopped shavin' and I was 18, had a little scraggly beard, really looked like a hippie. I had long hair, and it started gettin' kinky, matted up. Then two weeks before, I stopped eating any food with nutritional value. I just had chips, Pepsi, beer-stuff I never touched-buttered poop, little jars of Polish sausages, and I'd drink the syrup, I was this side of death, Then a week before, I stopped going to the bathroom. I did it in my pants. poop, piss the whole shot. My pants got crusted up."
  3. So, should members of the armed forces & those working over 40 hours a week have to rely on "charity" because their incomes don't amount to enough to survive? Meanwhile we hand out tax breaks to the rich so they can invest in sending more jobs "offshore" and hide the profits in offshore accounts.
  4. Absolutely, on the other hand, you don't believe that many of the tenets of the (so called) "Christian" right egregiously fail to follow the teachings of Jesus?
  5. In over 10 years of hunting exclusively with muzzle loaders, I never had a failure of any kind while hunting with either my "traditional" percussion or flintlock rifles or either of my double barrel shotguns. I did have a gully washer flood my pan once though. I didn't see any deer that day anyway. But then again I use REAL black powder & not the inferior substitutes.
  6. So, all liberals and moderates are not accountable and irresponsible? Further proves that conservative is a synonym for narrow minded. If you aren't walking in lock step with narrow minded views your views don't have merit? Again you are cherry picking though. I guess it helps "conservatives" rationalize the "prosperity gospel". Good thing our founding father were liberal and progressive or we would still be British subjects wouldn't we?
  7. And you only have one shot with your rifle.
  8. For those of you that think that the Hammonds were wrongly imprisoned, perhaps you should read the transcripts of the testimony at their trial contained in their grazing permit rejection. Before you dismiss that as BLM propaganda, bear in mind that some of the testimony was from a member of the Hammond family & a hunting guide that witnesses the Hammonds "herd shooting" deer, wounding some of them as well as the firesthat were set by the Hammonds that nearly engulfed the campsite of the guide & his clients. This is interesting. (this is PDF so you will have to download it) https://www.google.c...5,d.dmo&cad=rja Take the time to read through the testimony that spells out the conduct of the Hammonds that endangered the lives of hunters & guides in the area they set ablaze.( A; pages 5-7) On yet another occasion the endangered the lives of fire fighters.(B; pages 7-14) Of particular interest are the threats made on August 24 2006 (page 14) to BLM officials where Steve Hammond threatened to blame BLM for setting the fires if BLM "didn't make the investigation go away".
  9. If they are camo like the ones on the right, they are Gamegetter IIs & are the same quality as XX75s. The standard dark green Gamegetters were just dyed and would bend easily while the GG II was anodized just like the AO XX75s. Anodizing is very very hard & adds to the resistance to taking a bend set. I used 2117 GG IIs & XX75s for a few years before I discovered the advantages of wood as a hunting arrow.
  10. Hey Skillet, seems like reading isn't your forte. Let me differentiate between the meaning of "many" & "all". Many means a large number, all means every last one. Many were indeed looting & burning but "Many" of those people were walking down the street in a peaceful (and legal under the Constitution) protest. How about the cop that pointed an AR-15 at a member of the press & threatened to kill him? Not sure if he was white or black if that would make any difference to you. Micheal Brown also had a constitutional right to a trial by jury. Did John Crawford have it coming? Being a "moderate Christian" myself I have to say you remind me of the so called "Conservative Christians" (now there's an oxymoron if ever I saw one, Jesus was a socialist & a liberal by today's "conservative" standards) When they aren't allowed to force their beliefs on everyone, their "religious freedom" is being assailed. They're the only ones that deserve the constitutional right to religious freedom right? All these "constitutional scholars" on here want to cherry pick the parts of the constitution they want enforced. Just like "conservative Christians" want to cherry pick which parts of the Bible they want to adhere to.
  11. This is one movie that I want to see from a seat close to the screen in a theater with a good sound system. The wife & I went to see "The Last of the Mohicans" like that. I think it won awards for the sound track.
  12. Don't think so but I could be wrong. Speaking of John Coulter, do you know what the mountain men called what would later become Yellowstone National Park?
  13. No arrests, no beat downs, no tear gas? Many times on non violent "peaceful protesters" no less! Then can I take it you would support the same response that the non violent protesters in Ferguson received to be used in Oregon?
  14. By your response I take it you would support the armed take over of a city park by armed black people over a situation far more relavent than arsonists being sent to prison? Try not to dodge the question this time.
  15. So you think the militarized Gestapo police will allow armed black people to "peacefully" take over government property like those thugs in Oregon?
  16. This is even more interesting. (this is PDF so you will have to download it) https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0ahUKEwjToun51aXKAhVHXBoKHbYNA7IQFggcMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Flandrights.org%2For%2FHammond%2FFINAL-Decision-Hammond_Redacted.pdf&usg=AFQjCNE7dps22ySokA26tF9wkWFL8-5i-w&bvm=bv.111396085,d.dmo&cad=rja Take the time to read through the testimony that spells out the conduct of the Hammonds that endangered the lives of hunters & guides in the area they set ablaze.( A; pages 5-7) On yet another occasion the endangered the lives of fire fighters.(B; pages 7-14) Of particular interest are the threats made on August 24 2006 (page 14) to BLM officials where Steve Hammond threatened to blame BLM for setting the fires if BLM "didn't make the investigation go away". Seems like they are making good on that threat with the videos Mr VJP posted above doesn't it? If you ask me 5 years wasn't enough!
  17. I believe suppressed rifle were illegal before the safe act & therefore they aren't illegal under the safe act specifically.
  18. Where does it say they are going to let them rot? Don't they usually donated them to food banks & such? I'm not condoning the idea of sharpshooters but let's get the facts straight.
  19. Priceless that a 79 year old man took down one of these A$$HOLE PUNKS. Maybe a hoard of unarmed birders would do the trick. Could you imagine the humiliation THAT would cause? How could these Rambo wanabes dare open fire on unarmed people without bringing the entire country down on them? These self proclaimed "Constitutional scholars" don't give a damned about anyone else rights!
  20. I believe the Safe act had nothing to do with it. "Supressed rifles" are illegal in many states that are governed by conservatives.
  21. Yes the take down makes sense for air travel. Good quality wood arrow when shot off the shelf with fingers can have the advantage over "synthetic" arrows. By good quality I mean hand spine matched across the grain, straightened, tempered & weight matched. The arrows we made had batch numbers & the data as far as raw shaft weight, spine, stain color, dip color, fletch size shape & color as well as the crest. If you bought a dozen arrow off su in May, we could make another dozen in September that would shoot exactly the same. There are also "custom" one piece bows that will shoot just as fast or faster than a take down.
