  1. I just picked up some Alpaca socks before deer season - pretty impressed with them https://purelyalpaca.com/collections/alpaca-sale-items/products/superwarm-heavy-extreme-alpaca-socks-irregulars-sale?variant=18316098011198 have to give those others a try also-feet first to go!
  2. Thanks...I hated to drop the coin, but been looking at them for awhile. I wanted the incinerator but only found the boreal version on sale (Vail Valley anglers) for $479-20% off and was going to get boreal but then the incinerator came out of nowhere. These things don't seem to get to the sale bin all that often. Figured I better act before someone else did. Besides most my hunting is done after deer season for coyotes - so it's pretty chilly and my 30+ year old stuff was bulky and not cutting it anymore.
  3. Incinerators are performance fit-usually mediums are a tad big for me so hoping it fits with a layer.
  4. been looking at the MT050 extremes but going to hold off until I catch the incinerator bibs. My 30+ (purchased 1987 I think) year old browning gortex bibs and my Browning hydro-fleece(no longer waterproof) bibs with layers will keep me warm until then, they are just a little bulky compared to what is currently available today.
  5. KUIU also got great ratings for their stuff but seemed a little puffy and delicate but a little cheaper than Sitka. Gotta go with what fits tho! Hoping my jacket fits....lol.
  6. I might have to start looking for one of those puppies after the bibs show up
  7. speaking of cost effective options-was also looking at the super down pro jacket and pants at KUIU. they have lifetime warranties but are not gortex but waterproof. they have 850 powerfill down but looked a little puffy.
  8. PS - there is one on Ebay for bid with 2 days left that is new with tags and the bid amount is currently $305. might want to place a bid on that puppy if it is in your size (medium).
  9. It just came up as a listing on ebay (I check everyday there for bibs i am looking for) - buy it now for $489 or make offer. I made an accepted offer of $450 and had to also pay $$11.75 shipping.
  10. they say it is, buddy has a boreal for duck hunting (same insulation as incinerator) and spends all day out on the marsh in NJ with it. read alot of sitka reviews and people seem to be happy with it. It is described as super light weight but like wearing a sleeping bag without the bulk. the incinerator has 60% powerfill down and 40% primaloft silver for insulation. I guess we'll see when I get it next week and go coyote hunting!
  11. In my search for bibs (on another thread) to go with my wooltimate jacket I ordered, the sitka incinerator jacket came up on Ebay today for bid or buy it now ($489.99) + $11.75 shipping. It was not there last night when I was looking for bibs up till 1am. It just Popped up today when I searched Sitka incinerator. In short, couldn't help myself with a 25% discount and put the bid in for $450 and won it - so now my search is for the sitka incinerator bibs at a good deal. I know she has 1 more jacket (medium) on bid that is up to $305 but no buy it now in case anyone is interested. Probably get it at a better price than i got this for (with my luck). that one expires in a couple of days. Getting poorer by the day! looks like there might be another on there same dea-$489 or best offer)
  12. 5 mil waders minimum Used to hunt the shrewsbury river in nj....alwayz used cabelas heavy duty 5 mil neoprenes.
  13. My niece is a teacher, do you know what is required to order....thanks
  14. Picked up a wooltimate jacket, now looking for some new h20 proof warm bibs to go with them. Suggestions?.....would like to go with sitka incinerators....but ouch. Any other decent alternatives?
  15. thanks....where did you get the gun holder that fits on the trigger stick, I'd like to get one for my trigger stick as well thanks
  16. very nice...good luck with getting it bloody. might want to consider replacing the kill light with a stronger infra-red light for greater scope range. Here is my rig on the tri-pod. ar15 with locked and pinned magazine (5 rounds) regular day scope with the digital night vision camera attached at the eyepiece (ludicrous lumens vulpine) and the infra red light attached to top of scope (sniper hog lights). The gun is held to the tripod with a pig saddle, and the tripod is a carbon night stalker tripod. Went out yesterday at last hour of light with the lucky duck revolt caller but nada! good luck to ya.
  17. most of my shots (rifle) are probably 50 yards or a little more. I also use a shotgun with a red dot sight if I am hunting inside the wood line or in the woods and have had them almost run over me. Ya never know where they will appear- they always surprise me and it happens fast, sometimes too fast when successful calling is done. I'd also say, in most cases they win the battle (see me before I see them). Many times I have caught them (in cover) checking me out before I realized they were there. Frustrating...but Fun!
  18. you might want to check out some books written by NY predator hunter Andrew L. Lewand he has a bunch of books with some good NY hunting tips for Eastern Coyotes and Fox.
