  3. picked up some westonstore.com heated socks - will do a review once I get them. they are offering 3 pairs for $160. add 3 year warranty for another $30. got good reviews - hoping they work for me. Heated Socks | Weston Store
  4. just checked - my order is out for delivery today. checked for a friend to see how many left in stock - All gone = snooze ya lose!
  5. As I am aging, the circulation in my feet are deteriorating. I went out today (20 degrees this am) with my alpaca socks/muck boots and by 9am my feet were fozen. I think it's time I invested in some electic footwear. Anybody have any suggestions or previous experience with brands they are happy with? I've tried a bunch of cheapy insoles and socks and they work for a short time as wires break, or they are extremely uncomfortable while walking. Last year I was taking my boots off and useing my icebreaker boots covers with some boot wool inserts and alpaca socks with some hothands packages to keep them warm (worked really well feat were nice and toasty with this method). But am trying to simplify rather than taking my boots off and on to put on the icebreakers. Thanks in advance
  6. for anyone looking for sight-in vice.... Just picked up one of these - website says only 14 left on this 1 time offer by MidwayUSA. Ordered yesterday and already have a tracking # and was notified by UPS that I have a package coming. Caldwell Lead Sled DFT 2 Rifle Shooting Rest Caldwell AR-15 Picatinny (midwayusa.com)
  7. I always wear an orange cap to and from my stand (my property) during firearm season. I am unclear if you need to be in hunter orange for crossbow (since NY considerss it a muzzleloader) and muzzleloader season. Can someone clear it up for me? thanks

    congrats- nice bow buck!
  9. So sometime ago I bought a wraith 4-32 when they first came out (late 2019) and finally got it on my RRA coyote carbine on Sept 27. Tried sight it in to no avail...groups were all over the place and not consistent. Additionally, the unit would shut off and restart after a few shots were taken. I contacted customer service by email and they gave me a rma # for return. $35 postage later I sent the unit to them. They replaced the unit with a newer version (same model) but the battery compartment was redeigned. I received the new unit in less than a week. Took it out and tested it today and ended up sighting in 3 different ammo profiles. Getting consistent groups- about 1/2" MOA at 60 yards - even with tulammo 62gr hollow points (which I generally just use to get the sight-in somewhat on center for "real" ammo (Federal Fusion msr is what I generally shoot). Now sighted in with Tulammo 62gr HP - which I will not hesitate to use out of this gun, as well as winchester varmint/target 55gr hp, and of course my fusion 62gr msr. couldn't be happier and hats off to sightmark and their lifetime warranty. I think I'm gonna love using this scope in conjuntion with my themal monocular. can't wait to give it a go now that I'm set up. just passing on my experience for those that may be interested in sightmark products or the wraith. Of course they have a new wraith out now....ugh but think I'm not going to upgrage until I can afford a decent thermal scope like the bearing optics hog.
  10. I have a heavy duty rifle rest I have been using for years but it does not accomodate msr's (modern sporting rifles i.e. ar's). looking for a good one - any suggestions? thanks
  11. Good Luck to all my fellow bowhunters tomorrow - May you all have a safe and adventure filled season.
  12. Make sure it's in night vision mode and or adjust the ir beam. Hope that works for you.
  13. Nice last day. Went out in PM for a bit. Had a short faced doe or button buck come out about 25 yards from me and try to get me to move. Had the gun on him but let him pass as was a yungin. Fun watch tho. Had a nice buck cut through a little later. Heard him grunting before could locate him. No shot and no tag anyway but was nice to see.
