Camping Central NY

Figured I would get some feedback about camping spots around Central NY. We are looking for places with Cabin Rentals (make life a little easier on the ladies) Definatley want a water source for swimming and fishing. Golf course near by is a plus too. Anyone have any places they've been too or recommendations for me. We are looking for something for Late August. Thanks.

KOA campground at the Herkimer DIamond Mines. Pool. right on the West Canada Creek (one of the most underrated trout streams in the state)

There are cabins to rent as well as trailer and tent sites. You can cross the street and dig for Herkimer Diamonds. (kids love this) There are golf courses within a 1/2 hour drive (nice but not the greatest)

It is on Route 28 between Middleville and Herkimer.

I grew up in that area.

Theres some nice spots in the Adirondacks in the Old Forge/Inlet areas.. Plus Inlet golf club is pretty decent

Green Lakes State Park has cabins... beach and a golf course... you can also fish the lake for trout.

West shore of Cayuga Lake (rt 89) has cabins; north end I believe is Cayuga Lake State Park and further south is Taughannock Falls State Park.
