Grouse
Saw one last weekend with the spots still slightly visable. Something in the woods spooked it ( Bear or Coyote I think ) and it ran across my yard and right into the foundation of my house. It hit it hard too, then veered off to the left towards the pines. I wonder if it was blind. The sun was in it's eyes at the time though. Seconds later two full size doe appeared and veered off to the left into the pines, all the while bleating to the fawn to get it to come their way. I bet that fawn gave itself a headache. growalot
Went to feed and water the chickens last night...Angel and I nearly stepped on one...scared the BGG's out of us both...I was so very proud of her...her shoulders loaded and ears went up...then she looked up at me and I shook my head no...there we stood watching it as it hit the other trail and stopped to watch us...I'm surprised at how big they look this year...especially in these conditions...the bugs are horrific....
