UnderDog
i'd have to say that's defiantly the same buck. he would be my number one awesome buck!
nyantler
I would take him because he's a beautiful buck... culling any buck like that to stop those genetics is down right crazy... that is a really handsome buck! This is the kind of stuff I hate about where hunters are taking QDM... managing deer to have specific rack configurations is not good conservation and falls short of what hunting is all about in my opinion. Five Seasons
Culling free range in NY? Lol.
mt624
Culling was the topic last year and thoroughly discussed already. This is a deer I shot this season and my neighbor (not the original poster) provided me with these more recent trail cam pics. I just wanted to post follow up pictures to show how the deer looked after another year of growth.
Steve7
I shot this 4 pointer a few years back and I try and shoot mature deer whenever I can. Not knowing much about QDM, would this deer's genes be bad? From the post's I've read I would think so.
mt624
QDM is more about age structure and letting deer mature before harvesting vs genetics which we really can't manage.
mt624
Along with other factors like doe to buck ratio, habitat, etc.
