Been ready, checked all my hang-on stands by early September, hung two more over the past couple weeks. Got one left to hang at my cabin in PA on Friday.

Truckbed is loaded with the climbing stand and two rubbermade bins full of my hunting gear which has been organized and scent-controlled, it will stay this way until February.

Been shooting the bow again consistently since mid-August, today I cut the same hole 3 times in a row with the same arrow...I'll be nocking that one on Saturday Morning at the cabin in the Poconos.

Monday morning the wife is giving me the day off from Daddy-daycare...other than that I will be trying to get out 3 to 4 times a week (4hr intervals tops) during the weekdays all season (probably more mornings than evenings, but again it depends on the wife).

I will be in PA every weekend from this weekend through October. So i get an early crack with the inline muzzleloader in the middle of October. I'll hunt opening day plus a couple of Rifle there as well, and finally do some late season bow right after Christmas. These are my only full-day hunting opportunities this year.

Then I finally can't wait to harvest up to 2 doe a day in the Tompkins DMFA in JANUARY 2013...Finally Late Season in NY!

Finished all my chores for the fall today, home improvement season resumes in February.

No where close to being ready!! Then again, I never am so this is nothing new, lol. Shooting well out to 40 anything inside of that will be dead, or at least should be haha. Still have a couple stands to change and, I still don't know where I'm going to put my pop-up blind, clothes need to be washed, butchering area needs to be preped lots to do in a lil time. Taking monday off for the opener going to hunt as much as I can this year. Hopefully, I can fill either the freezer or the wall this monday. I got a big SOB running around hopefully I'll connect.

Goodluck and straight shooting,

CNY

Hey Everyone! This is Louis Backlas/ Cross Over the River Outdoors. I just posted a new video to my YouTube channel that I though ya'll might get a kick out of! Have you ever used a decoy to hunt whitetails? If you haven't before you might want to start! I woke up one morning and look out my front window only  to find that my 3D deer target was in pieces all over the front lawn! A fired up buck decided to take his frustrations out on the target!  this took place sometime in November during the peek of the rut. Hope ya'll get a kick out of it!

Its that time of the year again! This is our 9th year for doing this thread and its always a lot of fun! Post in this thread using your smart phone (or other device you can get to the internet with) from your stand / woods with your thoughts, current conditions, pictures, sightings, etc.  Don't forget, the site is accessible via your mobile device and there is even an app - Tapatalk enabled!    Lets see those pics!

      Hey All,
New to the forum, already missing the deer season and have curiosity to quell. This was a great non-typical I was chasing all season in a bow-only area of Ithaca. Anyone know or hear of a non-typical of this caliber being killed? I'll be out scouting for him aggressively soon enough. Thanks!

Hello folks. I'm a novice hunter from almost Central NY. I live amongst the cow fields about 20 minutes south of the ADK park. I'm here hoping that I can learn from those who know more than I do. That's probably most of you. LOL. This is my second season and so far I still have all of my tags. I have a rifle but I'm not comfortable shooting it in the area I hunt due to people being near. I'm hoping to fill at least one of my tags before Dec 19.
