What caliber to complement a 30.06 ??

Light recoil? Well, it appears as I'm becoming a big wussy. Damn that 25-06 Sako I got over the summer seems to kick pretty good! I'm only shooting the 100gr NBT and the gun is HEAVY.

The funny thing is I shoot some very light guns in the 243, 7mm-08 and even the 300WSM. All except the 300WSM seem to recoil less than the heavy 25-06! No problem, just an observation.

Maybe all the trigger time with the 223 Improved has me turning shy?!?!

I vote .223. So much that can be done with that platform, and if you decide to you can even get a top reciever for a .30 cal. near indestructible gun.

How about 7.62x39 like a mini-30? ammo is cheap good for animals up to a deer

was what my daughter used till I bought her a .308 also use it for woodchucks & yotes

223 is fun to shoot and good for varmints, but too light for deer. 25-06 will easily do both.
