Here is an update and hopefully the duck is gonna be ok.

A Bradenton wildlife expert drove up and caught the bird. "Once we got her close enough to the edge of the water we shot her with a net launching rifle and then Derek and I jumped in after her and handed her over to an Animal Control officer who had a vet on standby who could make sure everything was ok and they could do surgery on it. "Vets at Animal Control are working on doing an X-ray on the duck to see how they can help.

Get that down here with the geese very often. Hooligans shooting bows at them in the parks. They like to club swans to death too. "My Johnny wouldn't do that" mentality. Should castrate the litle bastards, improve the gene pool.

Yup ..A few years back a little dirt bag killed a swan ,with a shot gun, while it was swimming in the local swan pond. This pond is right in the middle of town and is surrounded by buildings. In a news interview,on live TV, the punks father says something to the effect , big deal I can't believe everyone is making such a big deal over a f@#king duck. The turd doesn't fall far from the a-- hole.
