burmjohn
Picked up a chainsaw @ lowes at 6AM. Man took me 20 min just to navigate down these side streets, tree's down all over. Just not sure how to cut up / what to do about the whole rootball that came up.
ncountry
Good luck , and be careful. Looks terrible on the tv. Not sure how much experience you have with a chainsaw, but always treat that sharp end with respect.... they kick and bite ...lol

Maybe you can get a friend with a snowplow or tractor push that rootball onto your neighbor's property, and swear the storm did it. Tell him you cut everything up on your side and that mess is his..lol...just kidding..well sort of
burmjohn
It by the time I got to the end of cutting it actually shot back up and stood up Took me 7 hrs to cut this thing up. Going to have to pay someone to grind it down or something, still left ~5 ft of it. I'm shot. Still no power, but apparently no one else on the island has power either, except my office which is open tomorrow BTW waited 30 min to get gas today after spending about 30 min finding a station open, seems the stations that have power ran out of gas or are really low. Just trying to keep my generator running for the wifey and baby. Actually runs really good, 12 hours on a tank full. Not bad for a $200 generator (was a return / used item @ Lowes I picked up about 3 years ago 1/2 off) Just have my two fridges, hot water, and a few other breakers on for minimal usage. mtbuck
i never seen winds so bad , the next development over from me looks like a tornado ripped thru it ,houses and cars smashed up everywhere. Lost power at 10:00 last nite , and my generator isn up at camp, but I lucky and found a brand new one in the box 2 hrs away, well worth the drive. hope you all are safe. ( picked a hell of a week to take off from work to go hunting)
