Non Lead Ammunition

Looks like the DEC keeps talking about how non lead ammunition is better to use. Anyone here use any non lead ammunition for Rifle hunting?

Sure it isn't copper covered, lead interior?

It might very well be just a coating, hence the term jacket.

I tried those "copper solid" slugs, but didn't like them. They didn't fly that great out of my gun and the one slug I recovered out of a deer never even started to expand. In my rifles I shoot the copper jacketed stuff (mostly Rem. green box)

Thats not to say that all of the non lead stuff is bad, but if they make it manditory I bet the price goes through the roof.

Barnes Triple Shocks are copper bullets and are devistating...

Yeah...I have heard nothing but good about the Triple Shocks. Just never tried them

im shooting NBT (nosler ballistic tip in fedral) and SST(super shock tip in hornady) 150gr bt they prob are just jacketed

This is a 7.62 x 39 in TSX quartering away. You can see the vitals, also hit front away shoulder and disintegrated it. Nasty for a 7.62 round....

I use barnes TSX copper bullets and they eat deer for breakfast. They absolutely are better then lead in every way but price.
